How difficult is it to obtain student rush tickets for this show?
What day or days are best to go and how early is it neccessary to show up?
Thanks for your help.
Last time I went was a while ago on a wedensday afternoon while the show was still at The Imperial. I got my ticket literally 30 minuets before show time. I don't know how hard it is to get a rush ticket for this show now that it has moved in to The Music Box.

When I did SR at the Imperial they still has 26.00 tickets, and I had friends who went at 12 and could not get SR at the Music Box.

I went there about four weeks ago (at the Music Box) and I was able to get a single ticket for the second-to-last row in the mezzanine at 10:15 for the Wednesday matinee performance. The next day, I went and it was sold out.
My best bet is to go on a two-show days. But I don't think you need to get there before 10 am.

What time does the B.O. open at the Music Box?
Box offices open 10 am on weekdays and Saturday and 12 pm Sundays.
At the Music Box, since it's a smaller, more intimate theater, it may be harder to get tickets. Especially with all the word of mouth and Tonys under it's belt. I agree with whoever said to go on a two-show day. It's twice the chance. If no luck with student rush, it's frequently on TKTS if you're willing to spend a little more.
Hey COOOOLkid - I'm sitting in Row L Center-Rear Mezzanine (which I believe is the last row) when I see August: Osage County at the Music Box later this month. Hopefully, I made the right purchase. How were your seats in terms of the view and hearing the actors?
I agree about trying on a two show day. I went about three weeks ago on a Saturday, got there at 9:30am and got the last ticket for the 8:00pm show. I would get there by at least 9:15am. Good luck, hope you get a ticket!
I just student rushed August two weeks ago on my new york trip (on a thursday) and got to the theater an hour before it opened and was able to get tickets, although at about 9:30 the line had about 15 to 20 people. If you get to the box office early enough and don't mind waiting you will get a ticket.
An amazing show and worth waiting in line for!
hi. i was wondering what the best time to get to the box office for august on a sunday.
thanks so much for the feedback.
I would say 11am. Hope you enjoy the show!
thanks, broadwayfan! i still haven't seen it.

Has anyone rushed this recently? I'm interested to know if they have run out of seats for any performances and how the rush seats were.
Other places on the board people have said they like the mezz for this play, does anyone have an opinion on whether the mezz seats with the discount or from tkts are preferrable to the rush seats?

Are the tix still in the last row of the mezz? You have to get there by 915, 930 am?
Thanks in advance.
As far as I know, yes, they are still the last row of the mezzanine (that's where I sat back in the month of August) and do get there by 9:15am if you can. Enjoy it!
There really is no bad seat in the mezz. Personally, I prefer where the rush seats are because you get to see the big picture. It's so beautifully directed, with things going on at all times throughout the house. So I would say don't waste your money when you can get rush seats for really cheap that are fantastic seats.

I got rush at the end of September and got 2nd row orchestra all the way on the left.
Does anyone know if they check student IDs on a regular basis? I am 13 but I don't have a STUDENT ID, I do have an ID but not a student. I am obviously a student but they like you to have a Student ID. Do you think they would A. Be nice and let me in? Or B. Not check the IDs?
This may be a completely ridiculous question so please no obnoxious comments. also how hard has it been to get tickets.
chita the last 2 times i rushed august both at the music box they checked my student id so it might be a little difficult to get a ticket. good luck if you go tho!
Is it easier to get rush tickets now that sales are slowing down? I saw it today from the first row, and there was a lot that I missed because I was so close. I'd love to see it from the mezzanine.
Yeah, what's the updated info? How much would I be looking at paying? What time would be best get there on Sunday?
I'm sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to plan all this out.
THANK YOU!!!!!
Rush will always be hard to get because they only give 10 per show. So on a Sunday, I would say get there by 9/9:30 since a lot of the people that line up for rush think it opens at 10 even though it opens at 12. (Also, just a hint, if they get all ready to go in and buy them at 10ish, break the news that it opens at 12. Sometimes they leave because they think it'll be just as easy to get a good place in line if they come back. Haha.)
