It is one of if not my favorite musical.
I love the writing, the cast, the music, the characters, the cast.
And Barrett Foa and Stephanie D'Abruzzo are so talented.
As is John Tags and the entire cast of Q.
Even the ushers are sweet.

It's wonderfully ORIGINAL, unlike most of the theater that's on Broadway these days... and it is succeeding (in a big way) commercially. That gives hope to the ORIGINAL MUSICALS OF THE NEAR FUTURE! YAY!
And that's one of the reasons I love Avenue Q.

Uh, I SO BADLY want to see this show!
I probably won't get the chance for like a REALLY long time (lets wish it a long run!). However, I have to say, I do enjoy the soundtrack (and, omg, the cast is so talented!). Everyone involved in the show deserves major props- as someone else said, its ORIGINAL, which is so nice. Easily one of the best new shows we've gotten in the last couple of years.

how bout a movie? it could have a HUGE cult following.
It would be a great way to top off it's success.
And the character's could ACTUALLY be roming around NY. Like seasame street or the muppet movie's!! ohhh..I like it.

Posted: 2/6/05 at 12:07amI thought the whole premise was silly. My kids have mocked it since the Tonys. But, now after two weeks of the CD - I hear the youngest singing it. I like it, but it is a bit tedious at at times. I assume that when I see it I will like it much more.

Corine2: Even the ushers are sweet.
NOT TRUE. The lady in the Mezzanine was VERY rude. She practically pushed us to our seats when there was NO line and I didn't understand what the rush was...I was one of the first people there. And then she just screamed at people about cell phones...which I understand you have to do that, but she was screaming as if she was angry at someone, my mom and I just thought, "What's her problem?"

OH MY GOSH. BIG BERTHA IS STILL UPSTAIRS.
LOL.
The ushers in Orchestra are nice. I bet i know who you mean.
She is called Big Bertha or the usher nazi to some.
I did a group at the theater (which was amazing and she almost bit my head off)
My group called her the usher nazi.
It is comical.
I did not see her tonight. The ushers the last two times I have gone have been wonderful. You know it is bad when the ushers remember you.
