Edit: HA! Michael, lets's stick to the $25, 2 drink minimums, shall we?

Actually you have to win and Western Union me the money so I can go and you can live vicariously through me.
But seriously, I'm sure he'll be great, alas I am not independently wealthy and not sure I can sit through the whole thing for one song given my sometimes very short attention span.

Have any of you guys been to anything at Encores? The $25 rear gallery...are they insanely horrible seats? Because Sunday! A Sunday MATINEE! I can do that! But...so much money...ugh. Decisions, decisions.

LOL! Yeah, because that was sooo much cheaper.
*rolls eyes*

Actually I was thinking you could Western Union me when I call you and tell you that I've bet all of my worldy possessions on Blackjack!
I know I could not believe the ticket prices!! I guess that's what happens when it is a Benefit, no doubt if I was able to go I would be doin' the $25 Rear Mez!!!!
And I would be so with you there! :P

I haven't but Michael is so worth the money. I seriously could sit and listen to him sing the phone book and be so wildly entertained.
And speaking of being entertained, I love me some Michael Arden but when can we see the other cast members doing other events? John? Jenna? Scott? Anyone? Bueller, anyone?

Yeah, uh, Aaron? Please? With sugar on top?

They should do another Joe's Pub show "Bare's Not Back But We Need To Keep The Clothes On Ours".
Dude, Michael's killing me here, 4am seems a very long ways away, especially when I have to be up at 10am to buy freakin Clay Aiken tickets for MoG's birthday (yes, I'm a dork and proud of it). I might just leave 710 on and make one really long file.

*joins you in dorkdom*
My friend Cindy's buying the tickets for us in the morning. She tried with the internet presale this morning, but nothing good was coming up. Even the insane Claymates who just buy up all the tickets were only getting in the back of the 200s. And there's practically nothing on Ebay yet.
*looks around*
Did I just lose any semblence of credibility I might've had around here? Oh well, at least I didn't mention that one of the message boards I visit is the People's Republic of Clay....... *smacks head* D'OH!!

The Joey Reynolds show starts at 1:00, any chance they'll be on then and not 4:00?? And due to technical difficulties Michael didn't even sing. Oy with these delays and technical difficulties and blah blah blah... what happened to the days when I could stay up for 2 days straight?

I did not know that "due to technical difficulties" Michael will not sing, I didn't know he was supposed to in the first place, that is SOOO sad!! Oh well at this point all I know is there is no way I am making it until 3, 4, or 5!!!

Don't knock the Clay, we all need our guilty pleasures! If it's good enough for Damon, it's good enough for me.

That's just what I read on the website. Though Euan is singing so yay! You know a friend of mine asked me last week if I had any questions for Michael because his friend was interviewing him for Stagespace and needed some. Somehow I managed to forget all about it because I drew a total blank on questions. I just realized this must be what he was talking about. I am slow.

Let's not forget our girl, Natalie!!! Girl can sing!!!!!!
I am absolutely DYING to hear her sing Bless the Lord, but can't find it anywhere in stores!

So, did anyone actually stay up for the radio interview thing? I sure as heck didn't. But the interview on Cast Party was good.
And John is back in my icon. Sorry, Trisky. You're still my girl crush, but I missed John too much.

I didn't stay up, but I just listened to it.
There was a slight pang in my cold little heart every time the word Bare was mentioned as well. *sniff* It's a good thing I'm not bitter... much... very often... this morning.
And John is back in my icon. Sorry, Trisky. You're still my girl crush, but I missed John too much.
I'd much rather look at John than myself anyway!

I actually took Trisky's idea and did not need to stay up!!! THANKS AGAIN Trisky!!!!!!
I am listening to it right now, and really so far they are just saying the same thing about Bare that we already know, and then Michael talks a little about the Oct. 25th show towards the end, but I am still listening to the middle, I'll let ya know if they say anything new!!
EDITED: Michael mentioning recently taking a meeting with Miramax for a movie idea he had which they rejected because it was too dark and they want fluff and a really interesting discussion about ticket pricing
So did not get to this part of the interview yet, now I am excited!!

You know what's even better? Discovering you have a timer you can set on your computer. Yes indeed.

It's not that exciting, LOL. But I think Euan made his point quite well, that the reason 51 year old white women are considered the main theater going audience is because they can afford the tickets and what's killing theater isn't getting people to go, it's the prices. I think I agree with that. I imagine a show would have many, many more repeat visitors if they were cheaper and many more people sampling it as well. As it is now you have to pick and choose what you're going to see and shows that are worth it might get lost in the shuffle because people simply can't afford to see anything that isn't a hit right out of the box.
Bare probably did really well in its Spring run precisely because of it's ticketing and the appeal it held to students who could afford to see it 10 times if they wanted.

You knowledge is just too much for me, I am lucky I figured out how to record!!

Pft. I'm lucky I figured out how to connect my CD Walkman to my computer to let it play to start with!
Posted: 10/16/04 at 12:22pm
I also just heard the part you were talking about Michael meeting with Miramax, and he say's it is funny how Miramax is pre-juding what people want to see, this was also a highlight of the interview!!
I love what they seem like they are trying to with statgespace.com too, getting different demographics involved with theatre can never be a bad idea, I just hope it works!!

This just in......Toxic Audio = AMAZING!!!!!
They are so unbelievably talented, I'm in shock. I can't wait to see their full concert this afternoon!
Yes, this post was definitely off-topic!
