I suppose they're trying to make the place look more presentable while they're working on the building (which they have been for quite a while). The inside is actually really beautiful.
As for Bryant Park, yes they're performing on the 19th I believe? Faile, can't believe you're going to come in, I'm one subway stop away but I'm not sure I can get away from work long enough!

If I don't get into Opia, I will likely be there. I need my Michael fix after all. Besdies I can't make it to opening night. Classes start up again in September
I'll "work at home" that day and take some work to do on the train. Getting paid to take the train up to NYC to see the cast of BARE sounds like a good plan to me!!

i'm teasing! Actually, a little obsession is not a bad thing. Of course, it hardly prepares one for a REAL relationship. I certainly know that--what a disappointment when my first boyfriend turned out to be NOTHING like Scott Baio.

Faile, that is soooo awful about your tix to Opia, I am feelin' for ya right now! I am actually feeling sort of relieved that someone is as travel crazy as I am, when I heard about your 6 hour day trip from DC to NY for Bare at Bryant Park. I have traveled from MI to NY, about 11 hours by car for a show before, so please don't feel insane alone.

adampascalgal - thanks, I do have the worst luck in the world, so no big surprise to me.
I don't know about 6 hours to see a free show though, especially when the BARE will probably only perform 2 maybe 3 songs. I'm on a BARE high now, so I talk big, but may feel differently Aug 19th. I may want to escape my life though, so it is a definite possibility.

I say DO IT, I know 6 hours seems like a lot, but really I think it would be worth it, like you said if nothing else just to get away!! I was lucky enough to be in town last year for one of the Bryant Park concerts and it was really great, a bit crowded but fun and FREE!!

Umm...bump.
Anyhoo, the new pics from Joe's Pub that Craig posted today are amazing. Could anyone else in the free world get away with wearing a Blues Clues-like sweater more than Michael? I think not.
And John? Oh John.
That is all. :)

Everytime I see Michael's argyle sweater, I think of BlueWizard's icon!

See? We're meant to be!
Actually, I've always loved argyle vests and faux-vests (one-piece) on men. Michael has sexy fashion sense. Don't forget, Peter in BARE also wore a vest! *swoon*

Mikey in his sweater? I almost had an accident.
So sad I missed the final two performances @ Joe's!
To be honest, I'm liking Adam shaved a bit better. But the bootay on that boy! Mreow.
Once again, fabu photos. Linda and Craig (go you) did a great job.

I think Michael's striped shirt is sexy too. I have a thing for vests and stripes.
And Michael Ardens.

sure broadwayguy...
Michael pulls anything off, and I'm sure we'd want him to pull everything off...hmm take that as you will
I can say that I respect Michael a million times over again for the talent he has, and from what I've heard, his unbelievable kindness. *sigh* He's just amazing.
