The plot is in fact derivitive. You will think 'where have i seen this before?', and then you will remember-oh yeah, in about 20 other shows, films and afterschool tv specials.
Having said that, the cast is amazing, the music is melodic and (even if you have a teensy weensy heart, which i'm sure you don't!), you will cry buckets. I cry listening to the CD--walking down the street, on the train, shopping-cry! cry! cry!

as do I.
Although it is due to mention that there are RARELY, if ANY, truly original story lines.. you know the old saying, "There are 5 basic plots that are done again and again".
The exclusive interview with Aaron lohr is now up at www.thebarees.com. He even makes mention of his FULL MONTY audition where he had to dance in a g-string and accidently ended up REALLY giving them "the full monty"! .. and I am not EVEN touching his comments on the Bare stagedoor.... LOL
Really? What comments? I wanna know!
Do you think they're going to change the plot significantly? Again, I didn't mind the derivativeness of it, only because I found the cast so enthralling and the music so great. But critics have and will again pick the plot to pieces unless it receives a major overhaul.
But how will they do that and still have the show work? It's a bit like performing a major operation, isn't it? They can't just change it completely, so what WILL they change?

he makes comments of VERY flustered 14-15 year old girls with Mighty Ducks and Newsies items waitinga fter the show.... hey! wait a minute! That sounds VERY familiar!! Except 20 year odl man, hairspray items.. very fkustered.. oh DAMN. LOL.
I PROMISE I am not strange.. but YOU try meeting Adam! LOL. I am not aperson who gets flustered very easily, but meeting Adam.. come on now.
They need to finish out the character arcs for the supporting cast members...
strange is not bad at all broadwayguy, i think if i met michael arden i'd be at a complete loss for words
CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS SHOW
only dillema is how to get into the city, parents won't be very into seeing this show, and im 15 so i have some major planning to do.
Yeah, I was at a complete loss of words when I met Michael Arden. I think I said something stupid and wanted to kick myself afterwards. But he was extremely nice, with that beaming smile of his - he came up to me and introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Michael!" I was about to melt!
HE INTRODUCED HIMSELF!!!!!
oh lord bluewizard how i am jealous, that voice of his is something else
once again cannot wait to see this show, and if michael is not in it...i don't know what i'll do lol
Yeah, and I got a picture with him too!
Frankly, the boy is perfect. What a voice, what acting chops, and SUCH a cutie! He's adorable beyond belief, and oh-so-nice! He's the man of my dreams. We're the same age, too.
*sigh*

i agree where's that picture!!!
as stupid as it sounds, i'd just love sit down and talk with him about singing, acting, colleges, etc. he went to juilliard for god's sake. i think it'd be amazing to meet him
Well, I don't have any webspace, so I've made the photo my photo icon....looks weird as my icon, though -- too distorted. If anyone has webspace, I could post it somewhere!
I look bad in the picture, but he looks gorgeous! Has anyone else noticed how his eyes sparkle when he smiles? *sigh* I sound like a teenage girl.

I didn't know I could upload photos here! Well, you learn something new about BWW everyday....
I've cropped myself out of the picture, because I'm not worthy! But he's sooo cute, isn't he? I'm so giddy!
Wonder if he's seeing anyone....
The talented and adorable Michael Arden

no but ive heard the sampler and a bootleg...i was in nyc in april and my friends wanted to see christy romano in beauty and the beast and i wanted to see BARE, they won
biggest mistake of my life!
yeah me neither, another reason to be jealous of bluewizard!!!
the sampler is amazing, i haven't been listening to anything else really. ugh that sucks about beauty and the beast, i'd fight to the death for seeing BARE over beauty and the beast especially with christy carlton. i am DEFINITLY seeing this in the fall, only problem is the parents...not open minded at all and i have no other way to get to the city (yeah im young 15 i know) the city is 45 minutes away by train, but still.
