Aww...I always miss my fake boyfriend and all the fake coupley things we don't do! LOL!
I'm leaving that one alone.....
Matt stands on the stairwell and after he sings, takes off his graduation stole/sash from around his neck and lets it fall to the ground.
*tear* these scenes all sound so cool. I can't wait to see everything that happens, especially this mirroring you all keep mentioning!!
13, LOVE your John doing push-up icon. So much hotness. Heart cannot take it!
Didn't you have that one, like a LONG time ago?
BARE II....Peter - who decides to go to school in Canada rather than Berkeley because of the lower tuition rates - changes his name to Michael and falls in love with a dorky, somewhat-cute guy his age who studies Renaissance drama and spends his summers surfing BWW under the alias BlueWizard.
That is soooo favorite musical material!!! I love it!!! I smell Pulitzer....
2day I know how you feel. My rehearsals here take up my whole life. Its like first day of class. rehearsals are day two. And I have auditions September 13-14-15 for Carousel, blah. and Then September 21-22 for the dance concert. And Twelfth night which is what I am in right now doesnt even go up until Oct 7th and it runs unitl the 17th. lame. I hate being so busy.
Wow....you have a little more on your plate than I do!! LOL I only got 6 hours a week, but it makes for late nights!!
And a HUGE Congratulations to Michael on the award, and to Cheyenne for a great interview/career thus far! Love both of them, and can't wait to see/hear more from these beautiful boys!!!!
hello everyone! my name is riki (i'm a girl)...this is my first post on any board on this site. i was introduced to "bare" by a friend. i looked it up and listened to the cd sampler and i've fallen totaly IN LOVE w/ this musical! i hope to see it by some miracle that i find a way to new york..i live in missouri. i want to see it SOOO bad. i always get so jealous when people say they've seen it like 3 or 4 times. i love all of the actors/actressess. i'm so excited to be able to talk to other people about this musical. here in missouri, i don't know many people that know about it besides my choral director and friends that i've converted! lol. well anyway...you guys seem like a great group of people! take care!

Welcome, MusycBoxx! OMG, your icon is the old BARE logo! Where did you get the image?
Welcome! I totally love that logo! They need something like that again!!!
I also love that original 'bare' logo. I remember when I first started seeing them pop up around town. I kept pointing and saying, "That's my friend's show!" But I love the phrase, "NO VOICE". And that's why I think the show is called bare. The emotions are stripped bare and the cry from the heart is honest. I also think that's why this isn't just a "gay" show. I don't know anyone with any brains who doesn't, at some point, feel absolutely and profoundly "unheard." Like you know who you are but you can't articulate it. You can't live it. It's like a contained explosion, the energy of which has to dissipate slowly.

Hi everyone, not doing much posting tonight, woke up with major pressure in my head and ears (I have a history of ear problems) and the headache has lingered throughout the day.
I'll keep it short and sweet-
Great to see new Barees!!!
Congrats to Mikey and Cheyenne, perhaps two of my favorite broadway men.
BlueWizard, I'll gladly help you with BARE II
I don't know how much online time I'll be getting in the next few days/this week. My dad found out that I was online at around 1am on this site (oops!) and threatened to cut the internet Plus school starting, who knows how I'll keep up with this thread!
Talk to everyone later!
AG
Steve, that's a very good explanation of it.
blue you like postal service? nice choice!
Why yes I do! You like em too, eh? I luurrrve the Postal Service. I'm just sad they not an actual band (the "Give Up" album is just a side project between Death Cab For Cutie's lead singer and DNTEL). But the album is pure perfection, I can't take it out of my CD player.
In any case, I have Death Cab For Cutie to console me.
I'm with AG - I don't know how I'll be able to keep up with this thread, or BWW in general. I spent the entire day on the computer, catching up with the discussions. It's a full-time job! I will have to scale back when school starts up, and that makes me sad.
I love Twelfth Night! Such a great play. What role do you have?
sebastian. It will be a good production our director is doing a caribbean interpretation of it. But not like modern just like a fantasy island style. The designs are amazing. But it takes up so much time and the begining of the year is so crazy thus im pretty frustrated. but no doubt it will be good....
but umm I love bare. and love the new icon.
Sounds like an amazing production. I love it when directors do new and exciting things when they reinterpret the text.
Question: Is the director going to highlight the homoromanticism between Antonio and Sebastian? Antonio is one of Shakespeare's most blatantly homosexual characters - not in effeminate stereotypes, of course (Antonio is a sea captain), but in what he says. It's very obvious that he's completely in love with Sebastian. But most productions skip over this, though.
(Actually, most productions of Shakespeare's comedies skip over many of the sexual innuendos or gay tendencies. Last night, I was at a production of "As You Like It", one of Shakespeare's gayest plays. But they made the entire production really PG-rated and family-oriented.)
OKAY! Im going to keep up from now on!!!! Just watch!
YAY! So good to see you back WhatdoIneed! Broadwayguy will be much with the happiness as well I'm sure.
wow thats soo cool. I also love death cab. crazy stuff. I dont know too many other theatre fans that love their style of music.
Hey BlueWizard and Bobby_strong. Raises hand as a fan of Death Cab too! And believe me, try finding theater fans that are Ani Difranco, PJ Harvey or Tori Amos fans!
BlueWizard - your new icon is the cutest.picture.ever.
Welcome MusycBoxx to the insanity!
AG, feel better hon!
Bluewizard, I am really LOVIN' the new icon, of course I am sure this is not a big surprise to anyone, but I just had to share!!!

MOG! I looooovvvve Ani!
You do? Then I love you! :) Wow, finding an Ani fan in the theater community is as rare as finding a Death Cab fan. Awesome!
Since I believe we all agree that this thread has become somewhat of a second family in many ways I thought it would be fun to learn more about each other and our reasons for loving this show sooo much that we spend countless hours on this board. So please everyone copy and paste this into a reply and answer the questions since some of us may never meet it will help us relate a bit more…Even you lurkers out there…Stand up and be counted.
