I saw the show on Friday after having seen it at the Fringe last summer, and its message is as potent as ever. I'm so glad to see these guys settling in for a healthy Off-Broadway run with an audience that is really loving their material.
perfectliar, I know there is a discount code for $39.50 tickets. I'm sure there must be a rush, though. You should go to the box office and ask. Do you live in NYC?

I doubt the guys who created BASH'd had even heard of BARE back when they created their show, which may have even been in development before BARE even began.
The creators of BASH'd hail from Canada, and they have been at work on this piece for many years now. They didn't come out of nowhere.

Posted: 6/22/08 at 10:51pmBARE certainly started before conceiving BASH'd. But you're right, the creators know nothing about BARE, that's just dumb.
re: BASH'd: A GAY RAP OPERA Aiming For Summer Off-Broadway Run#57
Posted: 6/22/08 at 10:53pmit still should have a different title... just saying.

Posted: 6/22/08 at 10:56pmAnd why, pray tell, should it have a different title? The one it has works just fine and does a dandy job of telling us what the show is. Just sayin...

To those who were asking earlier in the thread...
Yes, BASH'd does a rush at half hour for $25 tickets. It is not a student or senior rush either, just anyone wanting tickets for that night. Cash only.

Posted: 6/23/08 at 5:52pmTo anyone who like bare when it was Bare: a pop opera... seeing this made me think it was a spoof (like scream=scary movie) that type of thing, thats my only reason for saying the title needs changed because honestly thats what i thought this show was.
