I'll believe THAT [happily] when I see it. PBS???!!???"
That does sound quite far-fetched, but it sure would tickle me!
It's been hemorrhaging millions since it premiered, largely due to the cost of the video projection system. People don't throw good money after bad. I highly doubt this was filmed; if it was, I don't believe PBS is involved at all. Probably a Lincoln Center thing.

It played at City Center. Why would Lincoln Center be involved?
As in the Theater On Film and Tape Archive for the NYPL's performing arts collection, commonly referred to as the Lincoln Center library?
The show's social media accounts had teased an announcement for today, but unfortunately it's about the U.K. and Australia.
Jim Steinman’s spectacular musical Bat Out of Hell hits the highway on a UK tour in 2020
AUSTRALIA IT’S TIME TO GET ALL REVVED UP! JIM STEINMAN’S EPIC ROCK MUSICAL, BAT OUT OF HELL is blasting into the country’s biggest arenas from June 2020
My guess is they cut some kind of deal with the Hard Rock chain. They're also playing Atlantic City in the spring.

I wish I knew whether additional cities will be added, or if this is it.
Michael Cohl, David Sonenberg, and Tony Smith, per press announcements. I would wager Nederlander Worldwide now has some kind of stake as well, based on their involvement in the Seminole booking and by extension the Hard Rock deal whose existence I speculate about elsewhere in the thread.
