Have they started collecting for Easter Bonnet yet? Any reports on what the various companies are offering? Coming to NYC from Cali next week and trying to be efficient :)

Curious. I have been to see many shows this past week (Vanya, Annie, Matilda, Cinderella, Hardbody, Kinky, Talleys Folly, and Passion. It is my annual "cram as many shows as you can into a week" trip from California) and only Annie has made a speech and sold merchandise (signed playbills for $20 and signed posters for $60). I thought for sure many others would have been.

Only show that are open participate generally, so that would explain why most of the shows you saw did not collect.

On the stage door thread for "Cat..." someone mentioned they're selling windowcards for $100. Don't know if that's for certain, but I hope it's true when I see it next weekend!

I went by CAT last night to try to get one of the posters and they said they had sold out of them on Wednesday night...they don't know when more are going to be ready.

Today "Cat" announced the collection, but did not offer merchandise for donations. Phantom: AIDS or Breast cancer Phantom mask pins, $10. Tote bags $10. Cast poster didn't catch price. And ONE miniature monkey music box numbered as limited edition and signed by Panaro (onstage as he made the pitch) available per show: $500, first come, first served...

Newsies are occasionally also offering Reusable tote bags or trading card sets for 10$ but not at every performance

Are shows in previews allowed to collect? I have been seeing previews (it seems ) and no collections. Anyone else?

It's been said in here before that previews do not collect (and I am taking their word for it as I have no direct knowledge other than the previews I have been at). I saw Kinky Boots and Hands on a Hardbody in the last four days and no mention was made of the drive...whereas a pitch was made at Cat on Hot Tin Roof and a hard sell pitch from the lead was done at Phantom

Cinderella collected tonight! Weren't selling posters or signed slippers or anything unfortunately- just had buckets and were selling pictures with the ensemble members holding the buckets for 5 dollars.

Santino made the announcement and he stumbled over his words so much that it was pretty much like he was announcing totally in character, haha. (Also it was his birthday and the whole theater sang to him!)

why does it seem like so few shows are collecting....?
