I was trying to buy a pair of seats for late November for Beautiful Noise, but was surprised to find nearly the entire center orchestra to be priced Premium at $315 a ticket. Even more surprising is how well the show is selling.

Other than the time of year, and that it's close to their opening, is there something I'm missing here? No other show has been as expensive.

Would love to hear what you think, or any similar recent experiences.

Thanks!

November and December have the most expensive ticket prices due to the holiday season. Also, this show is for the ideal Broadway customer in terms of demographics: Older white people with disposable income. As long as it keeps selling well, no discounts will be offered for decent seats.

Perhaps in January they will decline like most tickets do for that dead ass time in New York.

Just curious, out of all the shows out there, why are you so interested in this one?

SOGOOD is the discount code through 2/12 on Telecharge Offers. It says "up to 30% off," although I don't think the seat selection is great, and premiums won't be discounted, of course. Worth a look, though.

Thank you - I checked out the code and you're right. There doesn't seem to be any discount at all, even with the code. Thanks for letting me know though.

I knew I'd pay a lot for Funny Girl (which I did) but I just didn't expect it for Beautiful Noise, which I am only seeing for Will and the music.

I chose it because even though I know it won't be any great masterpiece, I want to see Will Swenson and also hear all the great songs. Don't worry, I'm seeing a lot of non-jukebox shows too!

We're seeing that more and more with shows. Some Like It Hot also has non-premium orchestra seats going for over $300, but was also simultaneously on TDF today. Sweeney is also selling them that high, although that's obviously a bigger sell.

A show about a well-known artist with lots of hits seems like it could be the "safe bet" option for many people visiting for the holidays or hosting guests.  I'm not totally surprised it is selling fairly well.  How long it can do so and at what price point will be interesting to see.

There's a lot of availability in Jan/Feb. Hoping a better discount comes out for those months unless this gets rave reviews.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
