Aren't those usually live? I took it as they were filming the entire show to be on TV.

It sounds like the whole show was being taped. The national event on November sounds like the parade . It is indeed puzzlement. Those in the cast might know more.

It doesn't say anything about the whole show being aired. And it says a special performance. I'm guessing it is the CBS parade special. And littleshopofcarrie they are pretaped. Last year Lesli was in the performance for Matilda, but she was out of the show and the country filming her movie.

If they're looking to have an audience, perhaps it's for some kind of TV special/showcase about Broadway shows.

I know that the performances on CBS's coverage of the Thanksgiving Day Parade are pre recorded. Whereas the ones on NBC are done live in Herald Square. Maybe they are doing something for the parade? Though, if it's for something else, Beautiful wouldn't be the first Broadway show to be running that also released a taped performance of their show. Memphis did that as well as Legally Bonde.

Depends on the channel, we were at the Once taping right after Sandy.

It's not the whole show. Just one production number from selected shows. I think it's either DAMES AT SEA or MATILDA that's the 4th show?

They look for audiences for the pretaped segments on Cds. I went to the Pippin one last year. They want people to believe that the performance is live, even though that makes no logical sense.

Yeah, and if the producers want to cough up the cash, they will do it again this year.

Just heard back from Jersey Boys, Will be at filming Friday Morning. If it's for Thanksgiving, we will be in Europe when it airs. OH well.
