BEST IN SHOW coming to Broadway! (NOT!)

I witnessed a hilarious moment last Wednesday.
There is a subway poster for ANNIE that features a photo Sandy, and above it are big bold letters that say BEST IN SHOW! (There is an ANNIE logo in a much smaller size at the bottom right of the poster.)
A group of high school boys on a spring break walked by the sign, and one of them perked up and got real excited. "LOOK! 'BEST IN SHOW!' When did they turn that into a Broadway musical?! We should see this instead of Phantom!!"

I know that this is threadjacking, just a tad. But, this is in the same vein as what the OP said.
I was waiting outside in the rain and snow the other night for the ticket holders line for Matilda to die down. As I was waiting I witnessed a young girl (most likely in her 20's) saying in a thick southern accent as she looked at the marquee while walking through Shubert Alley, "Matilda? is this the movie or did they turn it into a show?"

I'm (pleasantly) surprised that high school boys have heard of Best in Show.
Meanwhile, all of the songs in Waiting for Guffman have already been written.
