These are my top 5 I dream of learning one day:
1. I WANT TO BE HAPPY TAP NUMBER (No, No, Nanette)
2. i HOPE I GET (Chorus Line) - any part of the opening number
3. FAVORITE SON (Will Rogers Follies) - you can sit to "dance"
4. SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE (Contact)
5. LET'S RAISE A GLASS TOGETHER (GRAND HOTEL) would love to dance with the hotel staff)

Great stuff - all 5 of your picks.
I'd like to perform the newspaper dance from NEWSIES, any of the sensational chorus numbers from SHUFFLE ALONG, or be a waiter at the Harmonia Gardens in HELLO, DOLLY.

I used to teach a Musical Theatre Dance class and I would teach the students would learn original choreography from Broadway Musicals. I taught both “God I Hope I Get It” from ACL and “Favorite Son” from Will Rogers Follies. The feedback given was that “Favorite Son” was unanimously their LEAST favorite choreography they learned.... which was disheartening, because that one was tedious for me to learn as it was one I had never done myself before teaching the class.
Some others I taught were: Glory from Pippin, Sing Sing Sing from Fosse, Cool from WSS, “The Audition” Tap from 42nd Street, Seize the Day from Newsies, and It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me from Movin’ Out.

I could possibly understand a dislike of "Favorite Son" in a class setting. That number is so dependent on the people around you that it could be very frustrating if someone is not picking it up as quickly. Those tamborine hats also add so much of the joy to the number that if you didn't have them (I don't know if you did or didn't) that it can also lose some of the excitement.

"Favorite Son" is a b!tch to learn. "War" from PIPPIN wasn't easy, either. The 42nd Street opening is such a workout.

One of my favorite pieces of choreography I ever learn. It's a show I wished I did more than once.
