I`m 99.9% positive that it was Merlin. It starred Doug Henning, Chita Rivera, and Nathan Lane. It was a huge financial flop I remember reading.

But then Lord of the Rings was a lot of money to!

LESTAT will most likely go down as a BIG financial flop.

CARRIE, MOOSE MURDERS, NICK & NORA, and there were a few others.

Dance of the Vampires was, I've heard, $10-15 million.

If you combined the losses of the three Broadway versions of The Scarlet Pimpernel, I think you have your winner. I think it was estimated to have lost over $20 million by the time it closed.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

I'm pretty sure Chitty was a huge flop. I'm not sure of the exact figure, but I think it's something around 15 million.

Merlin was NOT a flop.

It ran for over 200 performances and was nominated for FIVE Tony Awards including BEST MUSICAL.
