I`m 99.9% positive that it was Merlin. It starred Doug Henning, Chita Rivera, and Nathan Lane. It was a huge financial flop I remember reading.
But then Lord of the Rings was a lot of money to!
thanks nathan lane stalker i will look in to that one
also dont think lord of the rings has flopped YET
we have to put up with it in london for a bit first xx
ps was good vibrations as bad as people on here said or did it have some good moments. What was the problem with it ???
LESTAT will most likely go down as a BIG financial flop.
CARRIE, MOOSE MURDERS, NICK & NORA, and there were a few others.

Dance of the Vampires was, I've heard, $10-15 million.
I knew carrie and dance would be there
The reasson i ask is that me and the rest of the cast of footloose are wanting to do a one night concert(kinda like our xmas treat for the crew and freinds and famaily etc)of songs from broadway flops and we need as many as possible
xx

No problem
If you combined the losses of the three Broadway versions of The Scarlet Pimpernel, I think you have your winner. I think it was estimated to have lost over $20 million by the time it closed.

What do you mean?
I'm pretty sure Chitty was a huge flop. I'm not sure of the exact figure, but I think it's something around 15 million.
chitty was a big broadway flop but will prob make its money back with the success in london and the current uk tour etc

Merlin was NOT a flop.
It ran for over 200 performances and was nominated for FIVE Tony Awards including BEST MUSICAL.
was they ever any revivals of merlin or a cast recording ? lol
Starmites was nominated for Best Musical, too. I'm just sayin'...
yeah
i dont think awards nominations really say much when it comes to flops or hits
