Odd Couple....obviously
Lestat
Has anone actually heard anything about The Woman In White. I am a little worried about it, I hope it does well.
Tarzan might represent the over abundance of disney on broadway. I think it will have the same success Aida did.

Posted: 10/23/05 at 6:23pmI am skeptical about The Woman in White. To tourists, there is really nothing there to attract them. To NY residents or Bway fans, there is Michael Ball and Andrew Lloyd Webber. It's a tough call. I think it will be very dependent on reviews and critical reaction.

Probably Tarzan...Disney, the kiddies will love it.
The Odd Couple obviously will be a success.
I am not so sure of "The Color Purple" the fact that Oprah has some involvment with it, actually makes me not want to see it. The Wedding Singer also sounds way too campy (as someone else said.)
Oh yeah, and who is playing Tarzan? I haven't paid much attention to Tarzan news.

Posted: 10/23/05 at 6:33pmI'm reading some pretty safe choices above. I'm a little more adventurous. If Jersey Boys becomes the sleeper smash of the season, and the next Mamma Mia, you heard it here first. Please don't reply that I'm crazy until you see JB.

bigrab,
DUH! I realize that. But capitalizing every post gets a little annoying. Unless it's huge news...no need to be so big about it.

Tarzan and Lestat in my opinion.
And I hate to say it, but those who think that The Woman in White will be a big hit will be dissapointed. Besides my personal opinion (didn't love it, didn't hate it) the show wasn't a smash hit even in London and it is quite a British show. I am not saying it will be a flop, but I see it in the 60s and 70s attendance for most of its run, which will probably be about a year or a little more at the most !
