Probably Finale B, but it changes weekly (I Should Tell You is a recent fav)

I guess Maria...mostly for her final scene

When Tevye refuses Chava (especially in the revival when the entire cast comes across stage reprising "Tradition" as Tevye screams "NO")

cliche, but "And nobody in all of Oz, no wizard that there is or was, is ever gonna bring me down!"

I guess Seymour

What's your favorite song from play 2?
Salty Teardrops. My most listened to song on the ipod

Who's your favorite character from play 4?
So difficult because the ensemble together adds so much power to the whole, thus why the point of his painting is on the whole. By stepping back and taking everything in after putting it together is what is Georges intentions are. However, I am partial to Yvonne, Dot, Marie, and act 1 George.

What's your favorite scene from play 5?
Adore 'Christmas Bells'. One of the most exciting moments for me in any show I've seen

What's your favorite lyric from play 8?
Oh God from every show on that list, I have to pick a lyric from this? I like "Thank goodness for today", it works fairly well when the day is quite wonderful and full of goodness.

From play 10, which character are you most like?
I guess I'd say Mark for his younger age and innocence. However, I doubt I'm that innocent, I don't do things because I know better and not because I'm a naive moron.

Can you quote every line from play 1?
Yes, for the most part. I am most partial however to quoting the Judge's long winded sentence declaring how it was remiss of him to close the court so early due to the stink of those miserable wretches at the bar were so offensive to his nostrils that he feared his eagerness for fresher air might well impair the soundness of his judgement...ya know?

How many times have you seen play 3?
Never saw it, love the movie and know the cast recording by heart.

If you could be anyone from play 6, who would it be? Why?
I see a TON of Bobby-ness in me as it is, I may as well be him because I'd prefer to be who I am as opposed to the rest.

What's your favorite song from play 7?
I love "The Joy You Feel" and the Overture

What's your favorite quote from play 9?
"This is what it is to know the day and meet the Sun and find that I am not the only one, I am not the only one whose afraid of a world too big and bright."

Definitely West Side or I say that the direction of Cabaret was interesting too.

The Music Man

If so, which one? Why?
Absolutely dreadful and the music is just like nails on a chalkboard to me. If I were alive in 1957 and saw this beat West Side Story, I would have hated the Tonys then too.

Usually the creative geniuses of the Broadway have more vision and hopefully can do more justice to the work than the camera can

Chicago, Cabaret, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, and several others (Singin' in the Rain, however, is the best movie musical, though it was not turned into a stage adaptation until very much later)

Yes, several

DANCE OF THE VAMPIRE and most other vampire musicals, MAMMA MIA! and most other jukebox musicals, JEKYLL & HYDE and most other Frank Wildhorn musicals, TARZAN, THE WEDDING SINGER, JANE EYRE, SUNSET BOULEVARD, and many more.

Do you think the movie versions are better, or the original Broadway plays?
Some movie versions are worse than their stage counterparts (A Chorus Line), others are on the same level of quality as their stage versions (Fiddler on the Roof), others are too different to allow comparison (Chicago), and others improve upon the source material (The Sound of Music).

I suppose Ellen, I tend to be caught in the middle a lot.

Only once sadly. But I lost my Phantom virginity to Hugh Panaro so that one time means a lot. I'll definately see it again, it'll be around for a while.

Christine, because although it's risky she has tons of fun conning those two men. Plus she's smart, sassy and silly.

Oh, God. Of course number 8 is Sweeney with all of its uber-complex, genius lyrics. Um... in Epiphany: "But the work waits/I'm alive at last/And I'm full of joy." It's one of my favorite moments in the show.

Haaa. None? Caractacus, perhaps; I'm weird, and certainly nothing like Truly.

I used to know the entire show, short of a few lines, by heart. I surely don't remember all of it now, but I'd venture to guess I've retained a good amount.

Three.

Gender boundaries aside, Philip, Marilyn, or George. The guy parts in Taboo are so much better than the girl parts.

Hmm. The Sound of Music. Classic.

I'm a dancer... so CONTACT is a dancing show. I wish I could say I'm like The Girl in the Yellow Dress, but I need a sex change for that one!! Hehe.

I only saw the revival of KISS ME KATE once.

I've seen them all except Dreamgirls and Ragtime. Of those, I've seen Sweeney, Rent and Piazza on Broadway, Movin Out and Evita on tour in Boston, and Assassins and Hair in regional/college productions.

The Balladeer. So many possibilities.

Sunset Boulevard 3 times on b'way, twice in chicago, once in memphis, once in new orleans

RENT - broadway (the original cast!!), once in new orleans

Evita - twice on tour - jackson, ms and new orleans

Passion - just the DVD re: BROADWAY Survey

Cabaret - tour in jackson, ms - and every night for about a month when I did makeup for a regional production of this show

Side Show - once on broadway and one regional production

Triumph Of Love - twice on broadway....including the final show

Sweeney Todd - regional production in nashville, tn....but i have tickets to see it on broadway in september (twice!!)

Chicago - once on broadway, once in jackson, ms

Emmie - how powerful! But I’m biased, because one of my favorite actresses, Trisha Jeffrey, played that role and was fierce!

The whole Ruprecht scene... done by Norb, Jonathan Pryce, and Sarah.
