They sound great but I didn't see DeGarmo or Young there. Who was the girl that started off the song??

ACL2006, I am pretty sure that was Diana. I thought her pronunciation was a little weird, is that just me? Oh yeah but she sounds absolutely fantastic.
yep, after watching it again, that was Diana. Wonder why only Diana & Jeanette sang in the beginning?? It's usually four that sing that part(Dionne, Sheila, Jeanie, plus one tribe member)

One question though, were they barreling through it? It seemed rather fast to me, but i didn't know if maybe it was just cause of the lack of full orchestration.
God they sound great! All worries gone. Has anyone seen it recently? I went last week and when it drops to a capella Sasha was riffing and holds a high note and slowly kneels down into a scream. Has she been doing this for a while or is this something new? That made me cry even before seeing *spoiler* claude's body */spoiler* I hope the new Dionne takes this over, it was so heartbreaking. As if their faces and motions didn't stress the message, she was literally screaming it at us and everyone in the audience kinda shivered, but in a good way!
