That's too bad...I always love to read and see her positive things about theater.
But, if on the other hand, I am glad she is mentioned in Wowowow.com....now that's something!
I know that the original script calls for Kim to be 15, but I've seen productions that change that age (mentioned "How Lovely to Be A Woman") to either 16 or 17. In fact, didn't the made-for-TV movie - which was closer to the musical than the movie was in my opinion - make her 17? I saw the show at North Shore Music Theatre this past summer and I think Kim was mentioned as 16 there.
Simply curious that if they cast a girl that looks a little older Kim is suddenly 17 instead of 15.

I still say that Elaine Stritch should be playing Kim.

It's Roundabout, numb-nuts. It's going to Studio 54 or the AA theater.
I would love to see Alec Baldwin as Albert.

Ok, so it must be taking Studio 54 because that play with Sienna Miller is at AA during that time.
It's rumored for the rebuilt Henry Miller

Eric McCormack for Albert. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There go the chances of my school doing this show next year. (And I was dying to play Mae for my senior musical!)
Sets could be minimal, with abstract configurations of Pluto (the dog, not the former planet) and Queen Elizabeth.
I have no idea how such an idea could come from a human mind. That is the strangest sentence I have ever read, and it actually made me laugh out loud.

For Kim: Elizabeth Egan Gilles(Sp) would be a great Kim
Either way, she was born in '85. Still makes her 24.
A few names immediately spring to mind for Birdie. One is Cheyenne Jackson but that seems unlikely for a number of reasons. One, he may want to steer away from the "Elvis" role after doing "All Shook Up". Two, after guest starring on two top-rated show's (Life on Mars & Ugly Betty) he's really on the up and up. He may not want to take a secondary role at this point in his career. But, then again, work is work.
But for the most important question - how many people here would love to see him in that gold lame?

I would love to see Michael Berresse as Albert and Karen Ziemba as Rosie. They are both such marvelous performers.
Karen Ziemba was such a snore when she did Rose at the ENCORES production.
Sounded nice and did some lovely dancing but was so boring and her character was very two-dimensional. meh.

I think Hayley Podschun could be a great Kim/Ursula, although she reads more 17 than 15. Eh...
Ooh... I love the idea of Hayley playing Kim.

They did alter the lyric to make her 17, but that was because Chynna Phillips was just a couple years shy of 30 at the time, and looked it. She was the oldest looking 17 year old there had been for a while, ranking right up there with the cast of 90210.

If you think that sentence is strange, try reading a page of Finnegan's Wake sometime.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hayley was cast. She's already done two Roundabout shows, so they probably have her in mind.
