What theatre has the most space backstage? I would assume one of the larger theatres like The Gershwin, Minskoff and Lyric.

I know I remember reading that the Majestic has a relatively small backstage space. I know they had to dig underneath the theater for the candelabras in Phantom.

I've been Backstage at the Court but it was insanely Tiny. I'd imagine LCT has the biggest as it was designed to house 3 shows in rep.
I remember seeing a video of the sets pieces hanging in the wings for Legally Blonde and then they were lowered and put into place and another piece was hoisted up.

The Broadway has the largest of the Shubert houses. Les Mis was moved to The Imperial so Miss Saigon could make use of the large stage.

The info from the Shubert website does not cover the OP's question which was about backstage. The League publishes all of the specs, but you have to buy it (or find in a library). The link is https://www.broadwayleague.com/research/stage-specs/
