Any word on rush for this show? I plan on rushing this over the next week or so. How early did people line up and where are the seats located?
bump - anyone have any reports on seating location? thanks so much!

Friends went yesterday around 10:15AM and were able to get tickets, the seats were in the boxes. The woman at the box office told my friends that there was a line of about 15 people there waiting for tickets when the box opened at 10. The view from the boxes wasn't bad at all since a lot of the action happens in the middle of the stage. You will have the piece of the set with the bar completely cut off though from view (nothing happens by the bar so you won't miss anything. The mezz was so undersold we later relocated to seats there. The tickets were stamped partial view- delightful show and had a great time!

I passed by on Tuesday just before 10:00am and there were 5-6 people on line waiting for the b.o. to open.

I think the takeaway from this is that it is very, very easy to get rush tickets to see Bandstand. There was barely anyone in the mezz when I saw it. I enjoyed the show, and I hope it catches on.

This will be a very tough show to sell. Tourists have their choice of 4 shows from the 80's with title recognition, 2 Disney shows with title recognition, 3 mega hits.....they are not running to a show with no stars. And locals, unless Broadway fanatics could care less.

I'm rushing for Bandstand this morning (Saturday 4/15) and arrived at 7:42am. I was 5th in line. By now, at 8:51am, there are 21 people in line. I think the line is half and half going for matinee vs evening show. Hopefully we all get some great tickets :)

There's about 20 people in line this morning, most arrived after 8:30am.
Edit - I was first in line and got row M in the orchestra on the extreme left.

I rushed this yesterday (Tuesday evening) for the final preview. Got to the theater at 9:45am and was 10th in line. I'm not sure if the rainy and dreary morning played into it, but once the B.O. opened, there were maybe 5-6 people behind me?
Our seats were in the boxes. Not sure where else the seats were.

Klm4989- Bandstand doesn't have a show today.
I rushed this morning, arriving at 8:08am and was third in line. By 9am there were 10 people in line, I think it finally grew to just under 20 when the box office opened. I got Box A 1-2, hopefully good seats :)
At that time, I also counted the following people:
16 at DEH and Great Comet
10 at Come From Away (2nd person got there at 6am)
ZERO at Doll's House - I walked right over after picking up Bandstand tix and three people had shown up, but was able to get front row (row A on the sides of the stage) tickets for my friend. No one was behind me.

How was the box? Thanks for the update! I may be rushing this Sunday. Debating between a few shows.

Walked by this morning. Probably 8 ppl in line at 10:30, DEH had about 15, Great Comet about the same. Come from away had around 10 and nobody in line for a doll's house
Sorry for the late reply! I honestly found the box view to be dreadful. It's not only extremely tight if you're the first two seats in the box but there's some wiring and lighting that may not obstruct your view terribly but just feel in the way. I missed half of the set and while the main action happens in the center, I was always looking at the back of someone's head. The angle was just odd and felt like I was watching the show from the wings. Maybe the boxes further back or on the other side aren't as bad but I was bummed given the two hour wait in rush line. Since they had given away more tickets than the boxes allow, and I had seen on Instagram some people sitting in Row A MEZZ extreme sides, I think I would've much preferred those so not sure if you can ask for non box seats or even not be in the first 8-10 people in the rush line - but that'd be taking a chance.
I will say that I spotted a few empty orch and mezz seats from the box and moved down to third row orch center aisle for Act 2. :)

Saw it last night (2nd row orchestra) and loved it. Crowd was into the show and it looked like it was almost sold out.

Any rush updates from the past few days? Are the seats in the boxes further back an okay view? Thanks for your help! :)

I rushed Bandstand on Wednesday (5/3). I got there at about 1:30 pm and was able to get a ticket for that evening. I was given a box seat, but the ushers moved everyone with box seats to the front orchestra. Those seats were great and I loved the show.
I rushed on Tuesday 5/2 and got two seats in the boxes. The view was fine; I didn't think it was as bad as some on here have been saying. The mezzanine was crazy empty, though, so my friend and I moved to the center of row B for the second act.

Has anyone ever heard of "secondary rush"? I got into the city around noon and dropped my bag at my hotel downtown before going back to midtown. I had a little time before The Little Foxes matinee, so I stopped by Groundhog Day but had no luck for the evening.
Ended up stopping by Bandstand after leaving the Friedman, so it was around 4:30. Asked for rush and was offered a secondary rush ticket, which was on the side of the mezz in the first row for $49. Guessing this is something they're doing when sales are low? House wasn't too full, but the seat was quite good.
^I did the secondary rush last weekend at like 6:30pm for a Saturday evening 8pm curtain. The seat was in the front mezz (Row C) on the right hand side, but I ended up moving to the center of my row. For $49 bucks, couldn't beat that type of seat.
