I would have thought that only two Barclay Center performances would have sold out immediately, but not the case. There are still good seats left in the lower grandstand sections nearest to the stage for only $615.00 on Thursday and Saturday. Most of the best best floor seats have been designated "premium" and cost from $750 to $2500 dollars.
Concert and show promoters are learning that one way to cope with the legal re-sellers is to price the best seats at a level where even the legal scalpers are afraid to buy. If the tickets won't sell at the initial high price, then they can back the price down gradually until it sells.
Lots of seats left in Toronto. As someone else said, the premiums will drop closer to the show and be sold.

When I saw her the last time at the Hollywood Bowl (with Jason and Roz) I paid $250 for what looked halfway decent - it was in the front third of the bowl. Waiting for the shuttle to go their I checked on my phone and they will selling the front $1000 seats for a bit over $100.
I'm surprised they aren't selling out quickly either!
I bought a pair of seats in Las Vegas thinking that if I couldn't find someone to go with me it would be an easy face value sell. So far not the case, and I'm talking about the least expensive $99 price range!
Also know a friend who thought they were buying tickets to Los Angeles show but mistakenly bought Las Vegas as they were using my computer right after I bought mine. We thought no big deal, he'll sell his as well. He bought his at the $190 price range because $99 were sold out. Then we saw that more $99 seats were added?! Then I read somewhere that she once cancelled a show when not enough seats (in who's opinion I'm not sure!) were sold!
I'm getting nervous about my one seat and his pair of tickets!!!
I want to see her here in LA but the tickets are too expensive. Im not an obsessed fan or anything but i do like her from her musical roots (Funny Girl, Hello Dolly). I might just cave in and buy the tickets. Shes a legend.
Barclay sales picking up. Looks like the second tier $615 seats will go before concert. Lots of $365 tickets left. Good chance to match wits with the resellers, who will begin to panic when the concert is a few days away and there are still many tickets left.
Aside from the extra seat I'm trying to sell I also have a pair in section 220 (T Mobile Arena Las Vegas) that I'm trying to sell for a friend who can no longer go. These tickets USED TO BE in $190 price range and now I looked back on the AXS site and they have dropped the price to $99. So basically they paid almost $200 more because they bought early. So unfair!
So bad enough that my tickets have dropped value (in other words, I could be in a MUCH better section now for the price I paid) - the drop hasn't made its way over to the phone app yet. So basically they have one price if you buy through a laptop or desktop and a much higher one if you're purchasing with your cell phone. UGH they need to get it together
Ok sorry I've been whiny. Last thing I'll say for now because I give credit where credit is due... T - Mobile arena upgraded my seats so at least now I don't feel overcharged for buying early. Kudos to them!!!

Your going to have a great time. And your going to see one of the legends. Let the ticket price thing go. Your going to ruin it for yourself.. Let it go.
Yep, l let it go once they made things right. I'm a "it's the principle of the matter" kind of girl. It was never about the money. What's fair is fair and they fixed it. Good on them. All is good now. I would've still enjoyed the show but nice to know they acknowledged the issue.
