There is no full length CD of this show in existence; the only recording that preserves this show [legally] is a CD that is only 11 tracks long. This cannot be downloaded anymore online, though you could, as TheActr97J indicated, write to Sh-K-boom and request for the 11 track CD.

For those who have seen the play, how much music is there that's not on the sampler?

There are probably around 20 songs or more . . . so a good chunk is missing.

The show is mostly sung-through, so a lot of music is missing from the sampler (nice as it is)
Act One
Epiphany
* You & I
* Role of a Lifetime
Auditions
Love, Dad
Wonderland
* A Quiet Night at Home
Best Kept Secret
Confession
* Portrait of a Girl
Birthday, Bitch!
One Kiss
* Are You There?
* 911! Emergency!
Reputation Stain'd
Ever After
Spring
* One
Act Two
Wedding Bells
In the Hallway
* Touch My Soul
* See Me
* Warning
Pilgrim's Hands
God Don't Make No Trash
* All Grown Up
Promise
Cross
Two Households
Queen Mab
Bare
A Glooming Peace
Absolution
No Voice
* Included on the sampler. A lot of what is not included is recitative/conversational, and most of the major songs were recorded for the promo CD. Also, none of the Shakespeare music (the characters are involved in a musical version of Romeo & Juliet) was recorded. I find that Epiphany, Bare, and God Don't Make No Trash are the songs I find myself missing the most.
Well, and Birthday, Bitch, but that's just because I loved Natalie Joy Johnson in this.

Thanks for your responses. I just found a current auction on Ebay for a unopened sealed copy of the 11 track sampler cd.

There are some really great numbers, and some really... not great numbers.

Does anyone know why the songs on the sampler are in the order they are in? It seems odd that they are not in chronological order.
"What was the name of that cheese that I like?"
"you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start"
"well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

Random drug use.
I think they just went for the more popular songs that were being performed in the advance promos the cast was doing at the time.

A friend of mine actually has a few hundred copies of the original concept recording of BARE. I have a copy myself. I think I recall it having more than 11 tracks.

Thanks so much for the song list. I didn't realize it was a sung thru piece--now I'll have to try to track down the other songs I guess. I'll have to reprogram the songs in the right order--kinda funny as I had the songs in the order they play all worked into how they'd fit into the story inmy mind--and obviously I must have been completely wrong
And that link to Shh records has a place to download the album but when you click it nothing loads--or at least I can't get it to (I already have the sampler--just pointing out the link is now dead)

On that site, you can still click on the individual songs though and listen to them.

I'm not sure if you and are are thinking of the same thing, but I also have the first set of demos they put together. They include:
Warning
Epiphany
Diva
No Voice
All Grown Up
Actor (Role of a Lifetime)
Just A Girl
Second Thoughts
Cut From The Same Cloth
Faithful Servant
A Quiet Night At Home
See Me
Best Kept Secret
Bare
Wedding Bells
However, it is not performed by the NY cast on the sampler, and some songs are very different from there finalized versions (both in lyrics and orchestration) It's nice to have, especially for people interested in the revisions that go into writing a musical. It is facinating to see what the original versions of Warning and All Grown up were like and compare them to finished versions. Certainly a huge leap forward in terms of lyrics.

There are a ton of clips of it on you-know-where. I think you can (or at least used to be able to) see almost the whole show there.

Ironically: When I went to see LEGALLY BLONDE, I mentioned to Natalie Joy Johnson [who played Nadia in BARE] about how much I loved the sampler and she said someone had just emailed her telling her about them getting a recording together, which she was like "They didn't tell me that." So, it was basically a rumor. But it has been rumored and disproven several times.

Jordan I hate to argue this point twice with someone who has a Follies avatar and the screename of my first TV crush but even when I click on the individual songs it tries to load the individual .rm files and says they no longer exist
