Also, I'm involved in all this because I know people who were part of the cast and crew and they're still distraught over it and how the media has victimized Oak so much and made out the producers and creatives as such horrible, racist monsters. The cast and the crew loved their show and they feel terrible about how the show closed and if you ask any of them they will tell you that Oak was largely responsible for the show closing so early."
So, nothing, got it. Why are you getting into it with a bunch of random commenters on here then. Isn't that what you guys slammed Oak's friends for, like sounds like there's about as much evidence of Oak's sexism as there was for the production's racism (which was none). Periods because these are actually rhetorical questions and I am done messing this thread up further than it already has.
George, now you are not just exhibiting a hatred for someone, you are making up lies. Sayonara.
I agree with GeorgeandDot on a lot with this, but boy has reading their replies been a headache.
Oak coming in underprepared & behaving unprofessionally is not even a lie, but go off I guess?

I just find it absurd that because the ensemble members happen to be women someone would call Oak sexist. I bet a more likely explanation is that he is rather selfish, egotistical and bitter about being replaced by a white man, and such when he is complaining about the ‘diversity’ of the show he really just means himself. It wouldn’t have mattered if the ensemble members were male or female (or attack helicopter), I doubt his position would change. I don’t think we can say he is sexist.
No one says it better than Sumayya Ali (a cast member of the show):
"We must investigate the sexist lens that would have the audacity to label our show racist or question the value of black actors when the original, barrier breaking, titular, leading lady of the show is black. To question the show's diversity is to make her and all of her accomplishments invisible. The fact that the temporary contract of one male actor that ended a couple of weeks early could negate the forward movement, awards and Tony Award nomination of Denee Benton is unfathomable..."

If you are referring to what I said, I was not suggesting that either were a lie.

My apologies. Thank you for clarifying.

Ew. Ew Ew Ew. How disgusting you are. Using a truism like that to support a somewhat specious argument when said truism truly does not apply. At all. You don't care about black people. You care about winning an argument in a Broadway chat room.
Ew. Ew. Ew.
@owen22, you have no clue what you are talking about. Wander into a discussion weeks after it started, obviously without doing any homework, and making a nonsensical pronouncement. Feel free to come back and apologize when you realize what applies and what doesn't. I won't hold my breath.
