what performer appears on the most of them?

for mine the winner is nathan lane with 4 (producers, forum, guys and dolls, the frogs)

and tied for second with 3 each are aiko nakasone (H2$, rent, rocky horror), idina menzel (wicked, the wild party, rent), and gregg edelman (1776, wonderful town, into the woods)

Knowing my tendencies, I'd almost go to say Adam Pascal, but that may only hold true if I add in his solo CD's, since he's only on two cast recordings.

Too much thought required to figure who it *really* is, though.

In leading roles, Bernadette is tops with 4: Gypsy, Into the Woods, Mack & Mabel, and SITPWG. I can think of a few people on three CRs: Hunter Foster (Grease, Little Shop, Urinetown), Raul (Taboo, Rocky Horror, ttB), Nathan Lane (Producers, Guys and Dolls, Frogs), Idina (Wicked, Rent, Wild Party). Several others are on two, I won't list them all.

Counting solo albums would give Adam Pascal 3: Rent, Aida and Civilian. Not counting I realized LOTS of twos but no threes:

Sherie Rene Scott(Aida, DRS), Norbie(Wicked, DRS), Idina(Rent, Wicked), Lea Solanga(Miss Saigon OLC, Les Miz 10th anniv. concert), Joanna Gleason(Into the Woods, DRS), Mandy Patankin(Evita, The Secret Garden).

A lot of mine are movie soundtracks too, that may have something to do with it. Oh well.

Sherie Renee Scott - DRS, Aida, Tommy, L5Y, Grease (she's on the CD with Brooke Shields, during "Look at me I'm Sandra Dee." Read the liner notes. The two Brooke-centered tracks were from the cast she was currently performing with, of which Sherie was Marty I believe.)

Alice Ripley - Side Show, Rocky Horror, Tommy, Elegies for Angels Punks and Raging Queens

Hunter Foster - Little Shop, Urinetown, Footloose, Children of Eden, Grease

Jen Cody - Taboo, Seussical, Wild Party, Urinetown (good point...but I'm not even going into all the other ensemble people who have been in EVERYTHING!)
