i believe that MERRILY is ESSENTIAL SONDHEIM...i might agree wth PASSION not being there, but with HAPPINESS in the score it has to be included...IMO...
Great to revisit this list. Speaking of missed Sondheims, i think most would include PACIFIC OVERTURES in any list of TOP 100 most extraordinary Broadway scores. Of course in your list it would sadly be filed under flops rather than under the 1970's. Both the OBC and English National Opera recording offer a great reading of the score.
