Is that something that has been ever tossed around for consideration?
Maybe Adam Lambert as Edgar? Barrett Wilbur as Shelly? Ana Gasteyer as Meredith?

I would love to see this. It caught a bad break opening in 2001 and was a great show. I think Adam Lambert might be too old and too big to play Edgar. But I like your suggestion of Ana Gasteyer, that would interesting.

This is up there with Urinetown and Toxic Avenged as one of my favorite off beat shows but can't imagine it has commercial Broadway appeal.

Kerry Butler was on Judy Gold's podcast a few weeks ago and said that she was going to do a revival of Bat Boy in the near future, playing Meredith. She made it seem like it was aiming for Broadway.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore.
