Be More Chill Stagedoor/Performance Appearances

Just looking for advice on which day you think would be the best to see the show in terms of seeing Will Roland or other leads instead of undertstudies (No hate for understudies they are amazingly talented and must be incredible in order to be an understudy for any role on broadway, however, I do really want to see Will Roland and/or George Salazar perform for a number of reasons) Would Sunday Matinee be an okay shot for seeing stars? I know 2 shows days are more iffy for seeing stars at matinees, but what about a 1 show matinee day (Sunday) ? And one more question, do you think Sunday is an okay day to see multiple people make an appearance at the stagedoor? (I know 2 show days matinees are often hard to get anyone to come out, but it seems like a one show day that ends early-ish would be a good bet for stagedoor appearances.

That’s completely understandable. I know some more established shows, such as DEH, have a couple shows where the understudies always perform, but this one has no such schedule. (DEH is undertstandable, because that role emotionally wrecks the actor everyday, so two shows a day is tough.) I was just curious if actors are more likely to take certain days off. As for stage door, I have heard that in general one show  Sundays are better because the shows ends earlier and there isn’t  another show. 

I have a bad habit of doubting my own research, so I like to ask others for confirmation. Yeah we were planning to see it after it opened, when it went to one show on Sundays.

Any reports on what the stage door's been like? Is it a circus like I would expect?

I went just after opening night (March 12). It is most certainly a mob scene (roughly about 150 on a cold night), but it is one of the most well-controlled mob scenes you can imagine. The stagedoor guy is very friendly and organized and security helps things keep moving quickly.

Even if you are in the back, everyone helps each other by sending Playbills forward to get signed and the cast makes and effort to reach everyone they can with selfies and whatnot. On my night, it was Salazar, “SweetTooth” Williams, Carlson, Marcus, and Tam (in that order). It was also the night before the GMA performance so, that might have affected things. But everyone is really nice and appreciate the fandom this show has.

Of course, please remember to ALWAYS show common courtesy and respect to the people around you and the performers at all times since the cast doesn’t owe this to anyone.

P.S - I was at the ass end of the balcony and made it down there after curtain call no issue. From what it looked like, people didn’t really know the SD was there until they saw everyone else as they were leaving.
