You've made it clear you a) don't like the musical and b) "don't really like her that much anymore", so I would recommend you just skip it. Save yourself and everyone else the torture. Either send her your playbill to ask her to sign it, or write to the general stage door and ask for a playbill autographed by the entire cast - be sure to send a pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelope to have it returned to you.
Then WHY do you even care if you get her signature?
You don't like her.
If she's mean you don't even WANT to see the show.
You don't like the show.
You don't like the characters.
You seem to think NY would be a waste of your time.
What the heck are you even CONSIDERING going for?

Then send it to the theater.
Or write to the stage door and ask them for a playbill signed by all the cast.
It'll make life easier for everyone.

I don't get the whole "don't bring up past performances" thing. If your work in one show built you a fan base that will now follow you to other shows, isn't that what you would want as an actor? She did do the whole Will and Grace "I'm Bebe/I'm Lilith" thing. So I guess it's good enough if she's getting a paycheck, but no fan should ever mention it to her?

I think it was more how someone actually said "I never knew Lilith could dance" and people who don't get that she is Bebe and NOT Lilith than someone bringing up a past performance.
Personally I try to keep any conversation or compliments to the show that I have just seen. It's more to the point, especially when it's in a stage door setting and for most performers time is limited.

I certainly see your point, but I think it's a compliment nevertheless. "I've only known you before as a dry, stoic character from Cheers, but you're an extremely versatile actress and dancer." That's what they meant. And some people may not be at their most eloquent when they come face to face with someone they've seen on TV for years.

Actually it wasn't my point, it was Bebe's. At the talk she and some others did at the Times Building, I think in August, she is the one who said that she had heard that at the stage door (I think when she was back in "Chicago"), and given that it hurt her, I don't think it was said in the way you're thinking it was. Also, it sounded like it might have been an audible aside - so a note to be careful of what you say even if it's to someone you're with.

so she dosent sound like her? i dont hope so for her. but still i need her autograph to complete the playbill. what is her adress to sent it to then? and when does she reply? shes not like reading this is she?
She could be, like, reading this, like, right now.
CarHoop, you don't even know where to send the playbill?!
Frankly, I hope you don't get the stupid thing signed after your opinions of her and the show.

If you go to playbill.com and look at their show page, it will give the address of the theater.
I have no clue if she writes back, but given how you've written about her in here, I'd stick with writing to the cast c/o the stage door and asking for a playbill autographed by everyone rather than writing her directly.
As far as reading this thread, probably not, but you really never know. She could be or someone who works with her could be. The walls have ears, and the theatre community is really very, very small.

I imagine it was deleted for being redundant, pointless, and creepy.

Scarywarhol: it wasnt redundant or pointless at all, and creepy might have been just because you guys made it sound like a creepy way!

I hope she isn't there the day you go. That is "if" you go.
You act like a 5 year old whining to his parents to buy him a new action figure, which he really doesn't want, just to complete his collection.
