Belinda Carlisle to star in Hairspray (West End) in October

Belinda Carlisle has announced on Facebook and on her website, www.belindacarlisle.tv that she will be starring in Hairspray in London as Velma Von Tussel from October 26th - January 28, 2010! Go Belinda!

A horrible shame the musical is no longer on Broadway. The appropriate stunt casting possibilities is still endless... including this fabulous Belinda Carlisle bit.

A revisit to the West End's HAIRSPRAY is already on the list for this Christmas. Gotta support our Go-Go's gal.



NOTE: refrain from any 'cracks' regarding her face work. She's STILL our Belinda... just a bit tighter.

I'm right there with you, Brody. She looks great as Velma!

I also saw the Go-Go's not that long ago and her voice is still in top form as well.

I have always been a huge fan of hers, but you couldn't pay me to see Hairspray again, even with her in it.
I think it was a fun show, but it got old, just like Wicked.

One time that, on paper, stuntcasting makes sense.
If I was in London, I'd definitely go see this.
