I actually think both will be nominated for score/book, and neither will be nominated for performance.

I think one of the girls will probably be nominated in supporting - my guess Susan.

Nah - there is a lot of love for the show from the entertainment community (as evidenced by those TOS things on youtube.com). This season is shaping up to be lousy for new musicals (with the exception of BILLY ELLIOT) so I think you'll see some TOS love. Remember its had five years to develop some die hards...

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I could definitely see this show winning something like Best Book of a Musical if there's no other heavy competition. It's the kind of show that this category loves. Very clever, self-referential; much like Drowsy, Avenue Q, and Spelling Bee.

I can see susan and heidi getting tony noms as well as best original score. My fingers are crossed for best musical, but any other than that would surprise me.

Best musical? Are you kidding me? It's a pretty good show with a loyal fanbase, but there is no way in hell that this is going to beat out Billy Elliot, 9 to 5, or Shrek. Sorry honey.

okay, keyphrase "fingers crossed". i dont expect it to win, but i'm hopin for it. and since when is 'movie-musical' good enough credentials for best musical. best musical should be awarded to the show that is portrayed in such a manor that it gives you a good feeling and makes you think more about the things you do. being a tourist attraction and having a chorus doesn't make you a winner. go ahead and be the teacher's pet and draw in the crowds that only go because "i liked the movie", i stay with a real show that breaks away from the movie and disney musicals
