Good for him. Yearlong run of a legendary performance. I have no reason to be, but I'm proud of him in a way? 

My vote for the next Evan Hansen? Patti LuPone, natch.

Nothing like buying tickets on Stub Hub and watching the prices go up exponentially (and tickets disappearing) while you're buying. Lord have mercy!  LOL

Dang! missing him by 7 days! i'm seeing the show the 25th. really hoping the replacement is Micheal Lee Brown!! or someone new we haven't heard of yet. i'm not too disappointed, hopefully the ready of the cast won't leave at the same time. (i'm a massive Mike Faist fan so i'm crossing my fingers he'll be there when i go)

In case anyone is curious, ticket prices on StubHub have jumped almost triple since this was announce like an hour ago. Crazy.

I just bought a ticket for his last show, I got it on StubHub before they started upping the prices because I know that will happen. I don't even care about the view of the seat honestly. Just being able to be in the room for his last performance is worth it for me.

Yes! While I was buying they were going up and flying out of my cart. Wow. I saw them for $300 when I logged on. Now the lowest is $600.

It seems we will get a new Evan, and it will not be Colton or Michael replacing him, as it says this in the website "Ben Platt will play his final performance as Evan Hansen on Sunday, November 19. He will also be out of performances August 10-16, the 3pm performance on September 3, and the 8pm performance on September 6. Michael Lee Brown and Colton Ryan will continue to understudy the role of Evan Hansen and new casting will be announced soon."

Cheapest ticket on Stubhub for that date is $700 all the way up to $4,860.00.  And telecharge will not even load on my computer.  I wonder if it's related?
