Has anyone seen Bernadette Peters perform in a solo event recently? I just bought tickets for a local arts gala performance with her as the featured artist. We're very excited. I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what the setlist would be or what she might do for these one-off nonprofit events?
I haven’t seen her in concert recently, but when I’ve seen her in the past her set list has always been very well thought out.
I saw her recently while on a trip and she sounded great. Her belt is especially strong. Her set list was mainly Sondheim.
She was supposed to perform on Nov 10th in Madison WI - but that event got cancelled. I was really bummed. This was second one this year alone - earlier in Feb/March, Mandy Gonzalez's concert was called off when she joined the cast of Hamilton on Broadway.

Oh gosh. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I've only ever gotten to see her on YouTube theater and in Steve Martin/Annie movies, and I'm introducing my daughter, who loves musical theater, to the well known classics. We are looking forward to seeing her, and it may be our only chance. I have to come up with a playlist so that my kid will come into it with some appreciation! We know Sundays in the Park, Into the Woods, Annie, etc, but I'm just trying to find a set of songs to anchor a complete newbie. Thank you. We're very excited for the opportunity.
Some prior setlists.

Or just watch her countless live concert performances that are on YouTube. No brain surgery required. I promise. Her material generally stays the same: her INTO THE WOODS ballads, her SONG & DANCE stuff, no SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, the obvious "Send in the Clowns", etc.
Her concerts haven't changed in years, right down to the "banter" between songs which is not the least bit spontaneous. She still tells the story about the vacation home she tried to sell.

Oh that's good! YouTube is good because I've watched those and can pass those along to the young generation. Never having seen the set list or banter, I don't have the privilege of being bored with it yet. Bought the tickets for my young teen who is fascinated but still learning. Thanks!
