I think this might have been a post already, but I was just curious if anyone had some extreme favs and why.
My list
Wicked: Who didn't get chills when Idina was flying both literally and vocally.
Les Miserables: It's a great way to get all of the ensemble on stage, not to mention it's just an amazing show in general.
Producers: Just hilarious
Evita: Great song for Che and Eva. I know when they did it at my camp I loved it.
Rent: Like Les Mis, it's an amazing ensemble number and everyone just loves it.

Wicked, Defying Gravity
RENT, La Vie Boheme/I Should Tell You
Urinetown, Act 1 Finale
42nd Street, I loved how it was interactive with the house lights...I was about to go to the box office and get my money back!

I agree with Les Mis, that song was always so amazing and sent chills through me.
One recent one that comes to mind is the end of Act 1 for Little Shop of Horrors. It ends after Mushnik has been eaten and the plant is in the darkness and its just letting out this evil laughter on top of the 'theme' song as the curtain falls over it. It's pretty scary and sets up the plant for his world domination.

I have to agree with 'One Day More" from Les Mis. NOTHING thrills me more than that !! I also love "La Vie Boheme" from Rent and definetely "I Got Rythm" from Crazy for You !!!
Take care

oo, and sweeny todd. i forgot that. just from listening tothe cd it is just so amazing. Stephen Sondheim and Angela Lansbury are geniuses. I like Len Cariou but it's Lansbury and sondheim's lyrics that carry the finale. It's so amazing to hear them go onto the brink of insanity. It gives me chills.
and p.s. am I the only one who thought that the line in Defying Gravity "Lok at her she's wicked, get her!" was a nice touch? I mean we all know that she's wicked now but it adds a little bit of a cliffhanger, instead of it being shes free.

Posted: 1/28/04 at 8:50pmThis is very nerdy, but our annual production of "A Christmas Carol" (DeBerry/Hellison) ends with Scrooge in his chair, as the three younger versions of himself approach him from the fog. Youngest Scrooge hands him a candle, and Scrooge slams it out with his hand, as the music hits it's peak.

West Side is the 'Tonight' quartet with all the separate groups singing around and overtop one another a la 'One Day More' leading right into the Rumble.
Bat Boy is 'Comfort and Joy,' which is just a great song.

Ahhhhhhhh, I love Comfort and Joy. The beginning of the song with Dr. Parker is especially catcher.
"Kill him!"
"Shut up!"
"Kill him!"
"Shhuuuut uuup!"
