I can see how that would happen. He's just so charming, that he can almost cover it up. I think that because he wasn't always such an actor, if there wasn't a fairly good relationship offstage, it showed -- if we're talking romantic chemistry, anyway. But, even when I saw him do a 10 minute straight play, that was so improved. Granted, none of his relations were romantic, but he was so gooooood.

BUMP to go along with the new Worst Chemistry thread.
How about Patinkin/LuPone?
Jeremy Jordan/Laura Osnes
I think Steve Kazee and Cristin Milioti have good chemistry.

Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad had a very Broderick/Lane type chemistry.
Joe Mantello and John Benjamin Hickey in THE NORMAL HEART, damn they were good.
I'll second Jeremy Jordan and Laura Osnes.
Joe Mantello and John Benjamin Hickey might win the contest in my book-they were incredible
Not necessarily romantic chemistry, but the Gavin Creel and Will Swenson bromance
Robert Petkoff and Christiane Noll
Judy Kaye and Michael McGrath
I thought Danny Burstein and Beth Leavel in The Drowsy Chaperone was the best comedic duo I'd ever seen (still do). I saw her understudy and the timing was off. The two of them were absolutely perfect together.
Oh dear me, I posted in this thread seven years ago. I'm so embarrassed.
And for the sake of being on topic, Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp are the best on-stage pair I've ever seen, romantic characters and otherwise. Watching them work together is magical.

I'll second Petkoff and Noll - the best part of the RAGTIME revival for me.

Wonkit: I felt the same away about Petkoff and Noll in the RAGTIME revival - their chemistry in "Our Children" was remarkable.
Also loved Burnstein and Sutton in DROWSY CHAPERONE - and Idina and Cheno in WICKED.

I nominate Cristin Milioti and Steve Kazee.
I thought LuPone and Boyd Gaines had excellent chemistry in Gypsy.
I'd say Kristin Chenoweth and Brian D'Arcy James in The Apple Tree. I thought they were hilarious together.
I also agree about Danny Burstein and Beth Leavel.
Nina Ariando and Hugh Dancy, i Venus in Fur, I am gay and they got me going!
Ramin Karminloo and Sierra Boggess in Phantom and LND!
