hi all,
I'm a newbie coming to NYC in October (and I'm a huge Theatre nerd, theatre major in college). What are the best places to get discount tickets? And can someone explain to me the tricks to TKTS?

i've used the playbill club / telecharge offers several times and really enjoyed it

TDF.org if you fit into the eligible categories. Hiptix and Linctix for young people. Rush and lotteries too.

Always felt the rush or lotteries are the cheapest. For best deal I'd say tdf or todaytix.
Normally I try to see the show first using rush or lottery. If I really like the show after watching it, then I'll plan to watch it again in 6-8 weeks using a discount code or something either in the orch or front mezz.

Theatremania.com and broadwaybox.com are worth checking out.
While I always check around, the discounts are usually quite similar. (Well, not including rush or lotteries.)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
