Call me a shameless queer, but I rather like the dance remix of DCFMA. If you just forget that it's a showtune, it's a very good club track.

(Bronx, you can probably find the single with the remixes on it on Amazon.)

I don't think Evita brought back the movie musical; it really was Moulin Rouge. Chicago was passed around for years until Moulin Rouge was about to begin production, and then Chicago kinda pulled itself together. (Strangely enough, Madonna was attached to Chicago for a long time; she was to play Velma to Goldie Hawn's Roxie.)
