Is that almost a record? Idina mentioned within the first 4 posts?

Eden Espinosa. She puts Idina to shame.
Kristin Chenoweth, who puts both of them to shame, but in a different way.
Linda Eder ((When is she going to do something new, btw??))
Susan Egan
Kerry Butler
Sutton Foster

Linda Eder IS incredible...

Tami Tappan (Damiano). Don't know that she's too well known, but her voice is GORGEOUS. Amazing. I've only heard her sing two songs but she just stands out so much. Crystal clear voice, she's lovely.

Other favorites...the givens, but oh well: Audra McDonald, Susan Egan, Marin Mazzie, Ruthie Henshall.

re: Best Female Singers in NYC

Natalie Douglas and Julie Reyburn are two astonishing vocalists.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

re: Best Female Singers in NYC

Hands down, Orfeh and if any of you had seen her in Love, Janis, you'd wholeheartedly agree but this show ran pre-BWW and it didn't have Espinosa/Idina/Edna/Cheno/Hill/ in it, and it had nothing to do with the land of Oz so I'm sure it got right past most of you.

Al - is she doing anything now? I keep hearing her name, and am very intrigued. What about recordings?

re: Best Female Singers in NYC

DGrant, seems she's been doing the Broadway benefit rounds lately. I saw pictures of her at the recent Actors Fund benefit and from the HAIR benefit, which would lead me to believe she's (hopefully), on the recording. She must be taking a deliberate break from Broadway because there's no other reason she shouldn't be in a show right now. I did hear some "rumblings" last week that she was being considered for the Galinda role in the future but I don't put too much stock in anything that's said about Wicked casting. And yes, I meant to say Galinda. She is absolutely "awesome" and "amazing".

It depends.

If Alanis Morrisette is in NYC, then it's her.
