Great singers! I also think Lea Salonga and Christiane Noll would qualify to be among some of the finest. Also Debbie Gravitte. Just a few of my favorites not mentioned. :)

well, it's hard to deny that her voice is amazing...i still don't get the harshness towards idina...it's everywhere!

I'll chime in with my favorite - Rachel York. She last appeared in a musical on Broadway in "Scarlet Pimpernel," so some of the younger folks may know her only as an actress. She was recently in "Sly Fox." But WAIT till you hear her sing in the upcoming "Dessa Rose." My bags are already packed!

Laura Benanti blew me away in "Nine!!!" I had seen her in "Into the Woods" a year before, but hearing her in "Nine" was stellar!!!

I agree with Judy Kuhn wholeheartedly...one of my all time favorite voices and the most versatile voice out there...still!

Too difficult to say who is best...all very different.
