What are the best legally produced and distributed shows on streaming services right now? Interested to know which Broadway HD and other musicals and plays are best. We've watched Miss Saigon, She Loves Me, Falsettos, Kinky Boots).

Billy Elliot is wonderful (assuming you're not subscribed through Amazon Prime which means it won't be available), Memphis is worth a watch (it won best musical and the recording is top notch), 42nd and Holiday Inn are both fun and have great dancing. Also, if you've never seen the Bette Midler version of Gypsy it's a great made for TV production. I personally love her Mama Rose and it has a great supporting cast (Christine Ebersole, Ed Asner, Andrea Martin, a tiny Elisabeth Moss as Baby Louise and a very young Peter Lockyear as one of the teenage news/farmboys).

MEMPHIS is the worst and must indulgent musical ever to win the Tony. I suppose watching it is one way to work off bad karma.

Memphis is wonderful with incredible performances. The score is fantastic and it won four Tony awards which were well deserved. Enjoy!

Memphis isn't my favorite but like I said it's worth a watch. Chad Kimball's performance is right on the edge of being completely batsh#t crazy, but Montego Glover, James Monroe Inglehart and the rest of the cast are great. The choreography is a lot of fun too. I would watch the other three I recommended first though :)

Considering the characters he based his character off of, that makes sense. He was also dealing with severe nerve damage for 75% of the two years he was doing that part. He received a Tony nomination, and he was brilliant. He is healthy now and kicking ass in Come From Away. He is a brilliant actor, and I look forward to everything he does in life.

Can I ask why an account made from Amazon restricts some shows?   

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

After many frustrating emails with the company what I can say is do not sign up for BroadwayHD through Amazon Prime. You will not be able to access everything in their catalogue. Just go through the app or the website. I'm guessing it's a copyright issue but I never really got a straight answer.

On BroadwayHD...

 Indecent (the filmed production from 2017 with Katrina Lenk) - Paula Vogel's play was very intense from the beginning and manages to overcome the deliberate repetition to work powerfully. It's one of those shows that really made me miss live theater, though, but I certainly couldn't complain about the excellent performances and imaginative staging. 

Present Laughter is worth seeing for Kevin Kline's comic performance, though I didn't enjoy the play as much as I hoped.
