Just to be a douche. And yes, it did actually win.

IN THE HEIGHTS has the award IN THE BAG, baby!!!!
Congratulations to everybody!
It truly deserved the awards!
Congrats !!! And just want to add that Jay.. you are a class act !!! :))
Hopefully, everyone will support all of the nominated shows !!
i am so friggin happy for In the Heights! i still thought Passing Strange had a better performance at the Tonys® but that In the Heights deserved the award more. yay!
I thought "96,000" was excellent, given the fact that Lin sounded hoarse, and I am sure the transition wasnt rehearsed that much. "PS" was ok, but Stew weirded me out tonight.

Sadly, none of the new musicals looked good tonight. The revivals (with the exception of GREASE-what was Katheleen Marsahall thinking? ) put the new works to shame. The evening's only momentum was for Gypsy and South Pacific. The ITH Best Musical win seemed to come out of nowhere and had none of the build up or excitement that you's think most winning the big prize would.
I see it lasting a year at best.
I am even more excited now to be seeing this on th 26th. :)

So happy!!! (:
I'm seeing In The Heights again the week after next!! (: I wonder if they will be more energized now that they have won the Tony?? (:
ITH won three awards: Best Musical, Best Score and Best Choreography. Is that the least amount of awards since Titanic? (It really was the year of 3 great musical revivals this past season).
I'm more in love with Lin-Manuel than ever before (and Robin De Jesus, too)

"ITH" lasting a year at best?? WHAT???!!!
Have to disagree with you there, Trish--- and thought that both "ITH" and "Xanadu" were very good tonight, as far as their performances !!
They won four.
Best Musical
Best Score
Best Choreography
Best Orchestrations
I really want to see In The Heights! Now that it won, I bet tickets are going to be impossible to get.
YES! I'm so happy for this show. It really made the Tonys fantastic for me. I'm so glad that I bought my tickets for July 3rd last night!
Congrats to everyone involved with the show. Lin truly is a class act.

I am kind of annoyed that they cut Robin's solo rap during 96,000...you'd think they would have left it in because he was nominated...I know they have time constraints but they could have cut out Lin's intro and gone strait to them talking about someone winning the lottery. I would have loved to have seen Robin get his spotlight.
SO GLAD THEY WON THOUGH....this show deserves it!!

Much deserved!
Trish, crawl back into your hole and come back next season for what I'm sure will have a whole new slew of shows for you to hate.
Yeah, I was also sad that they cut Robin's solo But still it was a fantastic performance.
I was so happy when Whoopi read the name out loud! I just jumped out of my bed and started clapping and cheering...and I was completely by myself, but still. It was also great to see how genuinely excited the cast was.
I am so happy for this year, it was truly deserved
I am not really a big fan of In the Heights, but I am happy for them. I have noticed that Trish2's comments are always stupid, snarky and uncalled for. What makes her think that her opinion's matter to us?! Thank you, Wanna Be A Foster!
