Stephanie J. Block. She love to hear the music.
I remember Jim Dale in Barnum singing "Out There" while walking a tight rope above the stage
Felicia Finley in The Wedding Singer.

I agree with everyone who brought up Norbert.
Not a musical, but Sarah Jones in Bridge and Tunnel... amazing. She physically became all of those characters, mannerisms and all, in a few seconds. I've never seen anything like it.
Jonathan Pryce in Ruffhausin mit Shuffhausin.
John Cameron Mitchell's performance of "Midnight Radio" in Hedwig and the Angry Inch was amazing to see. You could see the release of all of those emotions and he just poured himself into it. Very, very chill-inducing performance.
I also second Norbert in DRS.
The first person that came to mind is Sutton Foster. I'm not sure if I could limit it to one number, but her physical comedy is brilliant--especially when she was in Thoroughly Modern Millie. "Show Off" is a great physical performance as well.
Michael Beresse in both "Kiss Me Kate" and "Light in the Piazza"
I have to say Bebe Neuwirth doing I Can't Do It Alone. Yes, the choreography is great, but no one else ever since has done it as well as she did and got the reaction she got every night.
On a more recent note, my vote is for Andy Pellick, who in La Cage and Tarzan pulls off numerous moments of sheer brilliance.
I know it's been said, but Michael Jeter in "We'll Take a Glass Together." The man was amazing.

Beth Leavel's AS WE STUMBLE ALONG. Without the visual of her doing all of her physical comedy with her hands, facial expression, etc., the song is much less funny than it is onstage.
Absolutley Tonya Pinkins when she sang "Lot's Wife".
Oh so many good ones you guys! But Broadwayboobs from the first page - you are correct - Felicia Finley in Let Me Come Home... with A Note from Linda a quick second! That girl in that role - what a perfect match!
Idina Menzel and Fredi Walker- Take Me Or Leave Me.
What made these two so great was the rough and physical chemistry theses two had on stage together. Yes, they can both belt the song very well but, for me, it is the way they hold each other and the way Fredi looks at Idina that makes them the best PAIR that has ever performed this number.
Donna McKechnie- Music and the Mirror
I can't believe no one has said this yet. She is an incredible dancer but, it also the way she performs the monologue that really draws you in. Certain gestures and the way her body moves with the different emotions it takes to do this number.
I agree about Felicia, and the audience LOVED her.

I was going to say BICOASTAL from THE BOY FROM OZ -- but even better than that was Hugh Jackman's performance in the 2004 TONYs where two numbers were combined ( NOT THE BOY NEXT DOOR and BICOASTAL). He wasn't just singing, but dancing strongly, playing the piano (or making the motions), jumping to and lying on the piano, and ending the number with that iconic Peter Allen pose atop the piano. And that didn't include the interaction with Sarah Jessica Parker! I think this number seen by TV audiences helped immensely in the show's sold-out status in the last few months of its run!
Hopefully, I will see BICOASTAL again - in Sydney! YAY!!

I hate to admit it, but Defying Gravity is always pretty cool to watch.
I forgot
Ann Reinking, James Naughton and the cast of Chicago in WE BOTH REACHED FOR THE GUN.
I don't know if any of the other Roxie's have really captured the puppet theme quite as well as Reinking. In the movie they had to use make-up they used in the movie, to make them look lke puppets. Not on Broadway.

Oh, I definitely agree Ljay, "We Both Reached From the Gun" was so well-performed by Ann Reinking, James Naughton, and the original ensemble.
Also, Jim Dale in The Threepenny Opera revival performing "The Song of Inadequacy of Human Striving."
Amy Spanger The Wedding Singer
ALL OF IT! She's just amazing..!!

Jan Maxwell in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Lillis White and Sharon Wilkins in "My Body Is My Business" from THE LIFE!
There was true physicality in that show!
I would love to see it again!
