It all depends on the show and role you are auditioning for.

I know the beast has nice songs from "Beauty and the beast"
hmmm....Patrick has a nice one in "Mame"
"Into the woods"-agony, it's a really nice song!
"BARE" has some really nice ones
there are so many others, let me get back to you on that!

Yeah, i really like Agony. And of course "role of a lifetime" is one of my top 5 favorite male songs. Along with "What is it about her" from Wild Party. And almost every song sang by Jamie in The last 5 years.

I think Jason Robert Brown writes some great songs for men. Like The first part of "Old red hills of home" from Parade is extremely good. Also Anything from L5Y is insane.

Yeah. I saw "it's hard to speak my heart" for an audition. That was a tough song to sing. Very different, but cool. I love One Song Glory, but I don't have the rock sounding voice to go with it. I still love ROLE OF A LIFETIME from Bare. I think that's definently one of the top 5.

I think one of the most gentle songs is Dulcinea, which is a wonderful song.
