Kevin at DRS. He was amusign and made sure we all got our stuff yet still be tough. cool guy, turned us on to a good resutrant.
I don't know about the best, but Jerby (of DOUBT fame) is most definitely the HOTTEST Backstage Doorman.
if we are talking about hott guys, the guy who does the lotto for DRS is hott! and has an amazing British accent!

I love the old ladies at SWEENEY TODD. They make my life.
Hector, the old man who used to work the Marquis stage door (who sadly passed away during the run of THE WOMAN IN WHITE) was fantastic.

A second vote for Hector at WIW...he was so amazingly sweet and loved to share stories of his many years working in theatre...first as an actor and then behind the scenes. So sad that he passed away just after Christmas.
His second in command, Ray, who took over after his death is a great guy as well.

Love. Her. She's too funny!
I'm a fan of the ladies over at Avenue Q.

I had no idea he passed away! I was wondering why i didn;t see him when I stagedoored for the Drowsy Charpeone but didn't expect that. Wow, i am so sorry to hear that! He was and is one of my favorite stagedoor people.
Richie (the guy who does stagedoor for the Palace theatre) is awesome. He is such a sweetheart.
the blonde with the glasses on a string house left at the Longacre is very selma diamond. i think she's seen everything since Peg O'My Heart. my favorite usher of all time is Robert from the Metropolitan Opera House -- may he RIP.
Not sure if we're all talking about the same guy at DRS. The man who normally controls the stagedoor I found to be really mean. I stop by the stagedoor for DRS whenever in the area/the show is over and I haven't seem him be nice yet.
This would be the elderly man, balding/grey hair who yells "Stay in the BOX!"
Maybe a different person...

Hee, I was about to say, Jerby is da shizzle!
I love James at the Neil Simon. Such a sweet man who, when I was working at The Music Man, insisted on calling me "Trouble." I doubt he remembers me now, but the way he handles the crowds at Hairspray and makes sure everyone's all set is amazing.
There's also this usher at The Light in the Piazza who makes great conversation about the show to the patrons sitting in his section. He really gets everyone excited for what they're going to see.
Ohh, I forgot about James. He's awesome too!

Another vote for Kevin! He's amazing. I've had great experiences with him, although I have seen people have mixed emotions with him.
have only females had positive experiences with Kevin at the Imperial? he was a buttinsky to me when i saw Boy from Oz and DRS, but he was sweet for the girlies.
Logan, i stage doored DRS this past Saturday and yes, the guy who works the stage door is so mean. he was yelling at people every time he came out of the stage door (he was going back and forth to check to see who was still around). Joanna and Norbert went out the front. Everyone else came out the stage door.

Another shout-out to Christine at Sweeney Todd! She's the best - sweet, chatty, and a blast to be around. We talked about Assassins when I was there - it was very nifty!
Richie & Pecas are the best, period.
Z and Neil from the Hirschfield are the best. Nice, funny, just great guys.
Funny story about them. I really wanted to speak with Christina and didn't get the chance to see her after a performance I saw.
I talked to them, they're like h/o lets check, so we walked in the entrance of the stage door and they were like no not yet, sorry. but come back later.
That was really nice of them. I also like the "window people" at Chitty, they were helpful in telling me who was in and out.
The guy who does the lotto at DRS was hilarious when I went. Such a nice guy. (I lost, though.)
I don't know if he's still there, but the stage door manager at the August Wilson who was there during "Little Women." He was a nice guy, but CRAZY. He also made a very realistic sounding dog. I stagedoored the show last January. Myself and a nother girl were waiting to see if Maureen McGovern was coming out of the stagedoor. The other girl decided to go knock and ask. Well, what we thought was a dog started barking and growling. Needless to say, at 11:30 at night, on a basically deserted street, that was a little freaky. as my mother and I were leaving, we saw him come out the door, though.

I really like the guy at Jersey Boys. He was very friendly, he took photos for some of the other people who were at the door yesterday, and he also went on a search yesterday for Christian Hoff to see if he had left.
