I've sat partial view for Gypsy and they are great. They are off to the side.

I saw a lot of the backstage stuff while sitting on the side at Xanadu. I wouldn't say it was the best or the worst.

I love sitting on the side with some shows because you can see backstage, many times at Rent if you are sitting on the left you can see all the cast before "Rent" You can see them in the center as well.

The Schoenfeld Theater had pretty bad side orchestra seats.

But sometimes it depends, I'm a technical theater major and it's nice to sit on the side of some technically advanced shows and watch backstage.

I saw Wicked from G- 13 and I saw backstage on the opposite side I was on, and it was cool to see things at an angle. Taught me alot about how things work backstage! I did miss seeing the cub in the school scene, and some dancers.

I enjoyed it. I did not enjoy knowing that I could have sat 7 seats over for half the price I paid.

The side orchestra seats at the Schoenfeld are pretty bad. The side sections themselves aren't bad, but the closer to the extreme sides you get, the worse it gets.

I have tickets for Left Orch, Row E, Seats 9 & 11. Good sight line or bad?

i sat the farthest seat to the left orchestra, and never even saw the big rock!

I'm going to agree with the Ambassador for worst. Even the mezzanine is bad. I personally feel they should be selling those seats as partial view, but that's just me. Where I was sitting last week, the left side of the stage was cut off, and there was a light in the way too.

The Eugene O Neil BEST Partial view seats I've ever had I didn't feel like i missed much but it could also of been b/c I saw SA 14 times

At the Hilton I sat all the way to the left at Young Frankenstien, I enjoyed getting to watch the backstage stuff, but the next day I sat in front row center and I realized I missed a lot. I didn't even know they had a big staircase going down into the labotory. I could hear the actors, but couldn't see them until they were on the stage. But that was the only big problem.

At the Broadway Theatre I sat on the left as well, and it was much better there. I don't remember missing anything, and I could see a lot of backstage stuff. It's really interesting.

So I guess it depends on if you like to see backstage, or if you perfer to watch the stage. But I think it's really interesting to watch the stage hands work, and see the actors before they get on stage.

Eh, for me I find nothing cool about seeing backstage. If anything it just takes me out of the show and distracts me.

It's not a broadway theater, but when I saw "Jersey Boys" in Chicago, I sat in the middle of the left mezzanine section and I could not see the screen that comes down stage right, and I had trouble seeing the scene with the piano at the church that was staged all the way over on stage right.

I sat in the mezzanine, literally the third seat from house right, and I had trouble seeing some of the dances that went all over the place, but that was about it.

The only time I was annoyed by seeing backstage stuff was Beauty & the Beast and Shrek in previews simply because the stagehands messed around quite a bit during Beauty (Like doing things which people in a Disney show should NEVER do) and in Shrek (Keep in mind, this was previews) they kept bringing sets into the wings before sotring them, so I saw the Dragon sitting stage right for about half of the show. Then I went back and it was gone.

I saw A Chorus Line at the Schoenfeld from the right side of the orchestra and repeatedly missed what was happening on that side of the stage because the sight line was so bad.
