Best or Favorite Costumes in Musical/Play

Hey everyone
I'm new here, so hello everyone :)
Anyways, costumes are very near and dear to my heart (my mom works with costumes). Just wondering what you guys all favorite or best costumes you have ever seen in a production.
Mine: So far, the only one I can think of is Phantom of the Opera. Beautiful, beautiful--can you tell by my avatar?

I would agree with Wicked only if we are talking about when Kristin and Idina where in the show, before they started using the cheaper fabrics on costumes.

The Color Purple has beautiful costumes.

the wicked costumes look alot different in normal light (the tour understudy glinda's gown, which i would assume is identical to the other versions, its essentially shiny silver with sequins, and opposed to the beaded lace.

favorite wearable- fiyero's ozdust ballroom suit
lawrences suit for the drs finale

visually- the poto costumes, morrible's costumes in wicked

I don't think the RENT costumes are anything special, I mean, parts of the original costumes were taken from some of the cast's own wardrobe (according to Anthony Rapp via "Without You")

Sometimes when I look at Wicked's costumes, I think, "Wow, those are really great," and then other times I'm like, "What child's costume trunk did they steal that from?"

The Color Purple does have fantastic costumes, IMHO.

Love the Phantom costumes, and Elphaba's act two dress. I aslo like some from Beauty and the Beast, but I have to say the most beautiful costumes I've seen have been in operas.

Even though the Rent costumes arent as elaborate as other shows, I love them because a lot of them came from the original cast's closets- and I think thats really cool. Also, I just love the way they all look.

i LOOVE the costumes in Phantom! Just gorgeous!! Especially Christine's dresses!! wow~
Piazza's were stunning...
ARE the fabrics CHEAPER or different in Wicked? I know a lot of the time they run out of fabric used on the original costumes.
When i played Ellen, I got the last fabric off the bolt for my Ellen skirts (BLECH...lucky me) so every Ellen after me got MUCH better costumes!!
AND...by the time i played Emma..they had run out of a lot of the original fabrics too. HOWEVER...my costumes were gorgeous and made of silk and leather and fur..(sorry PETA)...i miss my costumes, but someone i like a lot got to wear them! heehee.

The costumes in Phantom are wonderful, as well as some of the stuff from Hairspray. But I love the period pieces in Light in the Piazza.

Wicked costumes are awesome . . . also (being very specific) I love what Link wears in Hairspray especially during It Takes Two!

I like the ones in Phantom. Especially Christine's Don Juan Costume... other than that, I really love how they made the costumes for CATs.

The lizard costumes in "Seascape" were amazing and so intricate.

I love Penny's purple beaded dress in Hairspray.

Muriel's camouflage ensemble in DRS is pretty cool too.
