I've been away and wondered if anyone knew if there's a winner of the tix to her Vegas show. The contest ended May 4th.

Am surprised this didn't get a response from anyone, including BWW mods, etc.

Was this legit? Did they ever announce a winner?

I never heard of a winner for the In the Heights New York song contest, either!

If there is no official posting that there's a winner, how do we know that these contests are legit?

There didn't seem to be any rules attached to it either, which makes me skeptical. I entered once and only once because I wasn't sure if it was a daily entry thing.

That's true-- I also noticed no posted rules, etc. And the entry form has a space for what looked like a paragraph, but no explanation.

Getting a non-legit, or at least "cancelled," vibe.

Maybe it was just an ad to sell tix disguised as a contest.

Well? Anyone know what happened with this mystery?

Seems really odd, since a money-making entity can get in a LOT of trouble from fake contests, contests not run according to the law, etc.

And yes, I would count BWW as a "money-making entity" since they accept ads, link to ticket sale sites, etc.

Maybe I just missed it in the end (and this is sort of off-topic, but sort of related too), but did the SITPWG contest even end? I know it was suppose to run the course of several days, but I don't remember it ending with the correct number of chances to win. It seemed like it just faded away and then when somebody started a thread about it, that faded away too. Just sayin'...

Haven't seen any winner announcements for SITPWG or the Young Frankenstein Transylvania Travel Bureau contest either.

I never win anything...except for a cheap DVD player when I was working a thankless job at a mortgage company many moon ago. I just want to know if someone actually won. One would think the lucky winner would have started a thread gloating!

Hey there-

There was/were indeed winners to those, we just need permission to reveal winner's names which they're not always willing to do. Will try to get them to write about what sounds like a uber-fun trip though!
