I suppose it's possible...but 5 ft? They must be at least 5'6" now, I think? At least James definitely is, and I would think George, too.

On the assumption that the production team might read this thread from time to time, could I put in a plea for slightly less smoke in the Swan Lake dance routine. Several times lately it has been rather like peering through fog and some of the intricasies and beauty of the dance has been lost for the audience in consequence. This is particularly true for the close floor routines and when Billy rolls over the back of his older self.I know the smoke is there to add an ethereal sense to the routine but I feel it is a tad overdone.
Post script.
We were treated to two Michaels last night as Brad was too unwell for the second half. Well done Ryan for standing in after two exhausting shows on the trot with Liam and get well soon Brad.

Hello everyone.
Here’s a thought. Some time soon, we all know that the “Official Billy Elliot” cast recording will be coming out. It will only have either James, George or Liam playing the part of “Billy” with their appropriate “Michaels” alongside. However, what will happen to the other two recordings that don’t quite make the final cut?
I along with the rest of you will no doubt want to try and get hold of all three versions but I’m guessing that this won’t be sold to the general public!
With the fact that downloading is becoming more and more popular, bootleg recordings will no doubt be flying around the place.
I therefore propose that we all start a little campaign in the hope that the relevant people who work on Billy Elliot get to read our comments and that they may consider offering the real die hard fans of the show a copy of all three versions. We would have to pay a fee which maybe more expensive than the official recording because of the fact that this is recorded history but wouldn’t you all like to be above board and have these in your homes?
If anyone on the production team would like to PM me on this matter, it would be very much appreciated :o)

Hi im a new member too the site. I just want to say how much i love the show. I have only seen it twice, but it is amazing. Quick question. I have seen the audition form as it stands, but is there any possibility of them doing boys auditions in London, because i live south of london, and getting to leeds is almost an impossibility. Its not for me, its for a mate who's a really tallented actor, and i think he has a chance, but getting to leeds for 9:00, almost no chance. Can somebody help me.......Please!

I suggest your friend writes to the casting director or Stephen Daldry (Director) at the theatre and see what help and advice they can give. George one of the current Billys is from East Anglia and would have experienced similar issues I expect so the Directors will know how to deal with this.

Does any one know if the programme has been changed to Leon yet?

Thanx for all your help. As far as the programs go, im pretty sure that they are still using a slip inside the program for leon, though i do think its about time they changed it. James was amazing but its about time he moved over for someone new. I saw Leon a week ago, and thought he was stunning!
I imagine the programme may well change around December. This would make sense as some of the main cast will be finishing then too, including Tim.

Hi everyone, i saw Billy Elliot the musical on the 2nd August and we had Liam playing Billy that night. I didnt really think that i was going to enjoy the show, but i thought it was excellent. Even though Liam was a brilliant dancer, i would have loved to see George perform the 'angry dance' because my friend (who's also seen the show) said that he was great at that dance. Overall though, i think that its a fantastic show and im certainly going to see it again!
i cant believe that these two people are still posting nasty comments about james still after so many people have told them it realy isnt nice. it makes him sound really bad when the fact is he is just amazing as i have sed before doing shows with him was brill and we got the best reception ever. I NO you say it is your opinion but sumimes it is best to keep your opinions to yourself please. otherwise i will help anyone to make sure that you are taken off this board because it is really meen because me and other people in the show read these messages so just leave it.

Hi Crystal Blue, i was just wondering how you knew James and Ashley?
Hiya everyone!I have been reading this board since Septemeber as i went to see Billy Elliot for my 13 birthday on September 15. I was lucky enough to see James and Ashley. I argee with what people have been saying about nasty comments. Just because you like some people better then others doesnt mean you have to say horrible things about the other performers. I was wondering does any one have an address so that i can write to James and Ashley. If say can u please tell me as i would love to write to them both. Also has any one ever written to them and got a repley?
I'm going to London in December. Which Billy shold i try to see?

Presumably if you go in December there will be two new Billys. George and Liam, plus some of the adults leave on the 3rd Dec (I think, somebody will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong), so from 5th Dec, there's a new Dad, and 2 new Billys. I assume Leon will stay on for a while longer.
Does anybody know if Haydn is leaving? I'd like to see Gillian Kirkpatrick take over as Mrs. Wilkinson, she's done a fine job the couple of time I've seen her understudy the role.
What you said is true Chris T, the new Billys will have arrived! yay! Also though, it is impossible to 'try' and see a particular Billy, as you cannot entirely predict who will be playing Billy on that night - it is always subject to change at the last minute.. all adding to the surprise and unexpectedness of the show!
who plays the little girl who says "would you like to see my fanny?"
shes my favorite...the daughter of the dance teacher
im going to london over thanksgiving break and my mom bought tickets for billy elliot. cant wait!
the girl you are talking about is Debbie - played by 3 girls; Brooke Havana Bailey, Emma Hudson and Lucy Stephenson.
