Seems to me that your all being a little to defensive now why could that be. anyway im not looking to argue with anyone i love the show and am as much a fan of it as anyone on here im just a fan for the right reasons thats all. who is on the cd LM do you know. lets hope and pray its liam who elton obviously rates miles above the others anyway. see no critism of anyone are you happy now and next time think about any feeling of me and lm you may be hurting or is that different

I am pleased to able to state as a matter of fact, that Liam Mower will be the Billy heard on the cd when it comes out. I am afraid that I am not at liberty to share with you the date of its release.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant news thanks so much LM. there is so sense in the world after all. again thanks lm

LM, you do understand that the main reason that people were mad at you is because you did not say flat out that you were not Liam when people started thinking so. Then, to add to that, you criticized the boys: I'm not saying that's a bad thing nescesarily (sp?), but add it to the previous thing and people start getting mad at you. Because I don't know who you are, I cannot take your word for it right now that it will be Liam singing, but it would make sense, considering he is the youngest.

Billy Elliot will not be coming to the USA - at least not for the next year or so.

Having read certain past comments which almost treat Billy George as an afterthought compared to Leon and Liam I feel I must redress the balance. Those of us who had the pleasure of being in the audience last night (30th September) were treated to a totally magical display of singing, acting, and dancing by George. We all know the quality of his angry dance but the Swan Lake routine with Isaac James was absolutely perfect and a joy to behold and one which provoked very emotional reactions from first timers in the row with me last night.George will be as huge a loss to this show when he goes as Liam also will be and James was. Let's give credit where credit is due to this Billy who did not come to the role of Billy Elliot with a legacy of long-term dancing but who gets better and better and is clearly such a happy soul as well as a total professional.
Last night was also noted for the hysterical interplay and ad-libbing between Tim Healy and Isaac James in their pre-audition curtain scene. Isaac could not keep a straight face and Tim Healey milked this for what he could and it had the audience rolling with laughter and applauding all through this scene, something I have not seen before in my many visits to the Musical. It was also good to see'George'the boxing teacher bringing an up to date gag in the Christmas party scene about Tony Blair and his desire to hang on to office. One thing is for certain, this show maintains its verve and freshness due in no small part to the Billys and the other children and all the adult cast.
Thanks George for a very memorable evening.
Alan
thanks george for a truly memorable evening. good god
by the way not having a go at george who gives a perfectly ok swan lake routine but to compare it to the far superior liam version and superior leon version is ridiculous still it is better than the effort we got from james. as for angry dance why do you all rave on liam is the only one who adds dialoge to it.

Perhaps MUSICALS FAN needs reminding that comparisons are often odious at the best of times.
Those of us who saw George perform last night (and I have seen Liam and Leon perform and admire their skills as well) saw a performance that ranked alongside Liam and Leon. The audience reaction last night to George was ample proof that there were certainly not 1500 gullible naive theatre goers there. In my prior post I was arguing for a balanced Billy perspective when adding to this thread. Sadly MUSICALS FAN and L.M. seem from their past posts (which belittled James and to some extent George)to be incapable of moving away from their somewhat myopic and blinkered perspectives where the Billys are concerned.
Do not forget that George has not had the benefit of years of prior ballet experience, so as I suggested in my last thread credit must be given where credit is due and for me George's performance last night went well beyond the adjective'adequate'. I might also humbly suggest that deafness does seem to be concurrently symptomatic with myopia for some people. I was certainly not suffering from auditory deficit in George's superb dance of frustration last night as he was as vocal as he needed to be to bring out the best to this particular dance routine. Also of the three Billys he brings for me the best sense of pathos and loss to the scenes with the dead mother. But again I must be careful in what I say as I do not wish to be 'hoisted on my own petard' where comparisons are concerned. As I am sure George has learnt a lot from Liam and Leon all I am suggesting is that they may also have something to learn from George as well where acting is concerned.

Hey, let's stop getting personal on this board with one another!
Alan, I'm glad you loved the show last night and that George was as good as ever and still his happy self.
Musical Fan, this is a very strong message you've written on this board. I, along with everyone else on here know that you love Liam but lets stop comparing these boys with each other.
At the end of the day we all have one thing in common and that is we all enjoy this show no matter who is playing the lead parts.
whos a better phantom crawford or karrie was close the ultimate norma desmond. you see thats what theatre is about opinions and comparisons why is this show so different. the only personal remarks i can see on this board are those directed at lm and me. alan i am not deaf but as i watch from the circle and not on the front row to be as close as possible i can tell you liam is the only audible one

I welcomed the comments from Electricity (nice to have you back on the board after your travels) that maybe heads needed to be banged together on this one until I read the last post from MF with its offensive remarks. For the record I have only once sat in the front row on a day ticket and last night I was to be found in RowM in the stalls with my female companion for the evening. So please can MUSICALS FAN keep his nasty insinuations away from this board as it adds absolutely nothing to the thread which should be about shared information and our enjoyment of this show.

Is it me or does there seem to be a reference here once again to peoples obsession about 'little boys' from Musicals Fan? This is a step too far and if it were up to me Musical Fan would be banned from this site. The remark is, as far as I can see aimed at 'Alan Roger' who I have no doubt is able to answer in his/her own defence, however, as a one time visitor to the show who sat in the front row (cheap seats) I find the remarks offensive and inflamatory. These goes beyond the right to free speach. I am sure constructive and well balanced comments are welcome on this site, I have read them, however, those from Musicals Fan are beyond the pail BAN MUSICALS FAN NOW and please Musicals Fan do not bother answering with yet another offensive and rude statement. Lets keep this site as others have suggested, one where peoples experience of the show can be discussed.

SORRY IF PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN COMENTS THE WRONG WAY BUT IM NOT GOING TO APOLOGISE FOR MY OWN OPINIONS WHICH I AM PERFECTLY ENTITLED TO. THANX TO THE MANY PMS ON MY SIDE I UNDERSTAND WHY U WONT SUPPORT ME AND LM ON THE BOARD BUT ITS GOOD TO KNOW UR OUT THERE.
ARE THERE ANY PLANS TO RECORD THE SHOW FOR DVD LM DO U KNOW. I WOULD LOVE A DVD OF THE SHOW ANYONE AGREE. I WOULD LOVE LIAM TO B IN IT BUT WOULD BE HAPPY;HEAR THAT HAPPY;WHOEVER IT IS :)
is there going to be a DVD of the show.. 2 things..a) I WISH! and b) AS IF!
i mean, what do i know, but i would say no, there's not, else the show would begin to lose its audience as more and more people would opt to spend £15 or whatever on a DVD rather than £x for seats in the theatre. ok, so most of us here would still go to the show, but there is a large amount of people out there who wouldn't. agree?
i may be wrong, there may be a DVD eventually - but for now that is what i think anyways.
Be Inspired - HAHA! Hear hear!!
By the way, did you know that 'hear hear' is actually an abbreviation for "hear, all ye good people, hear what this brilliant and eloquent speaker has to say!"
so "hear hear" Be Inspired!
I have added some autographs to the fansite gallery! Enjoy!

what exactly in the following quote is slating the other 2
i would love liam to be in it but would be happy whoever is in it
well. seems to me lot of bullying going on this board. next time try and read my post properly before bullying me same goes to everyone else slagging me off. apart from lm no one is tolerant if were not the same as you. also i asked a perfectly resonable question re the show so please leave the name calling out and grow up
I think the problems started with the following comments you made....
Quote - "Liam brilliant a star
Leon very good will get better
George fair performance but like someone has siad needs to learn about manners in theatre
James average but you still enjoy his performance
Regards a previous debate there is something disturbing about the posts about little boys.
The big question is can the show go on without liam,he carryed george and james but can leon? "
rather than the one you quoted. There are other quotes from L.M along similar or more offending vanes but I'm not sure I want to trawl through the thread to find them.
