ok, sorta off topic but i just got the Mary Poppins CD (ive seen in before) and i have to say that
"Anything Can Happen" is my new obsession.
i listen to it non stop, its sorta sick. i need the Billy CD to come out and cure me of my Mary Poppins-itis
Me too. I can't stop listenng to supercalifragilistic-expialidocious, and practically perfect. I listen to anything can happen and brimstone and treacle often.
I'm a bit dissapointed when they deleted supercalifragilistic encore after the show and replace it with anything can happen as I regard supercali as the hallmark of the show.
I think I won't stop playing Billy Elliot OCR once I got it (Yup, I need a cure to get out of Mary Poppins - but don't think any cure will work inc BE OCR), just like what happened to me with Mary Poppins OCR.
I was in this mary poppins obsession since March 2005, and in Disney obsession since 1994 (still remember)
Morning everyone. Well last night I went to see a particular show again, and what an evening it was…
Yesterday was my 10th visit… though I still have a lot of catching up to do with some of you
George played the role of “Billy” and Brad played “Michael”. I’ve not seen either of them in the show for such a long time so I was really looking forward to it.
Firstly George… his acting is amazing with such a strong presence on the stage. He reminds me so much of Jamie Bell from the film now!
When it came to the Swan Lake scene with Isaac, the two of them were spot on when it came to the mirror image effect, in fact it’s the best I’ve ever seen it done. Isaac plays the older part of Billy extremely well; he’s going to be a hard act to follow - well done to you both.
As for Brad, he was great, and again had a huge applause at the end of the “Expressing Yourself” song.
The other person/people I want to mention is Emma Hudson who played “Debbie”. She seems to be in the show every time I go these days, no matter who is playing “Billy”. I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. The little extras that she adds to this bit are great. I especially enjoyed the little tap number during “Shine”.
I also wanted to comment on the other ballet girls who are superb; they certainly help make the show what it’s become today.
Now as for little Tom who played the role of “small boy”. He was great and his parents should be so proud. The way he shouted out w***er to George at the beginning of the show is hilarious (not that I want to encourage small kids to swear).
He was also brilliant in “Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher” – well done mate.
Everyone else in the show was great but the above is what stood out for me yesterday.
After the show I went to the stage door and got a few signatures and pictures taken of Leon, Ann and Joe. I will see if Felix can put them up on this board for you all to see soon.
Electricity, you're SO lucky to see George, I will NEVER see him *cries* but DO PM/email me the pictures and I can host and post them for you!
But for the moment, I am gonna post some cartoons (as usual and seems the only thing I do nowadays! :P):
Ashley as Mihcael (I think it doesn't look like him):
Vicky:
Gillian as Mrs. W (from my memory):
Mr. B:
James as Billy (it's just a sketch! so it won't look gd....):
I think the one of James is really good. DOnt give up as you can make them better as you go along, i mean i cant draw so ur lucky, just never give up!
i agree well done!! excellent drawings!
i have been asknig this for a long time and no one has said much to me about it but in the limeted edition does it have the ocr included with it? if not what does it contain? and another thnig which i hope you can help me on ... how do you preorder the cast recording or the limeted edition boxset?

i_love_billy_elliot, check your PM
Felix, love your james' pictures
You can preorder it in amazon.co.uk
Type billy elliot on seacrh box, and the result will appear, click Music (3) on the left hand side.
You obviously need Debit/Credit card or postal order to get this CD pre-ordered. I haven't pre-order it because probably I will be going on the week when it will be released.
Limited edition is also OCR, with some addition to it (bonus track, postcard, full lyrics)

Here's the official tracklist for the OCR. I saw it on play.com.

2. Shine
3. Grandma's Song
4. Solidarity
5. Expressing Yourself
6. The Letter
7. Born To Boogie
8. Angry Dance
9. Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher
10. Deep Into The Ground
11. He Could Be A Star
12. Electricity
13. Once We Were Kings

Disc 2
1. The Letter - Elton John
2. Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher - Elton John
3. Electricity - Elton John
The single CD version is £12.99 and the double CD is £17.99.
Only 19 days to wait!
Well, if all that is on the 2nd disc is the three Elton tracks then I don't see the point in buying the 2 cd edition.
Thanks for the track listing, Billy Cush
Yes, I see no point of buying the special edition. We can get the lyrics from the programme, and we can get elton john's track from Peachtree Road (except some of you who wish to have post card)
I'm counting the day. Just see at my signature area :)

Typical!
The powers that be refuse to listen to reason re releasing three versions of the OCR, 1 for each of the boys, but yet again manage to peddle Elton's recordings of the same three songs for the umpteenth time!
I seem to remember an interview Elton gave some time ago saying how he had recorded a whole load of songs for Billy, that never actually made it into the show.
Would it not have made the the whole special edition release a little more tempting if we had a few of the "other" songs included too?
Sorry for the rant.
I agree... I heard him singing expressing yourself, we were born to boogie (dvd), and the star lloking down (dvd), and I don't understand why he won't release them.
Good idea fizzipop! I always wanted that video!!
but it is now unrealistic. They already decided what to release.
WestEndFan2 wat do u mean about the 3 billys and the ocr?

Fizzipop - I've checked and play.com are actually the cheapest, as they don't charge for postage. Amazon would actually cost £13.45 once postage was added.
I think I will actually get mine from HMV or another proper shop where I can actually see both versions and make up my own mind. I do have the Elton John tracks on Peachtree Road, but would like to see what the postcards are like.
So does the cd only have Liam singing and not James or George? If so why does it name all three boys on dress circle etc? Confused

Hi,
for all the musicians out there:
I found some notes and chords for "Electricity"in the net. It's only the first page though and some of you might have figured it out themselves already.
Anyway, here's the link.

Hi, two things. Firstly, is there a way of changing the 'L.M' to something else?
Secondly, does anyone know how long the musical will be playing?
Thanks
On the offical website for Billy Elliot, there is an offer to win the DVD. However, it says you need to put in the unique receipt number (what ever that is.) It is called Billy Elliot Taxi Giveaway.
Does anyone know what you have to do?
On the BE fan site it says Liam only. I suspect that the blurb on Dress circle was just the generic desciption given by the production company and it just said who the original cast were, not who was on the recording - I think its a realy shame if we don't get to hear all 3 Billys and in addition to the 3 Elton John tracks, which probably most of the die hard fans already have on Peachtree road, we could have had some of the songs from the previews and versions by the other two Billys + the video of electricity but we will get what we get!
Forgot about postage - always the catch isn't it ? I will probably buy my copy from the shops or theatre as well
I am going to try some number on the ticket I bought for 3rd december to fill unique receipt number. There's a number, I believe, on the right side of the unused ticket.
As for amazon order, if you order above certain amount, you will get delivery free. I haven't order it because I want to buy it directly.
