Morning everyone. Well last night I went to see a particular show again, and what an evening it was…
Yesterday was my 10th visit… though I still have a lot of catching up to do with some of you
George played the role of “Billy” and Brad played “Michael”. I’ve not seen either of them in the show for such a long time so I was really looking forward to it.
Firstly George… his acting is amazing with such a strong presence on the stage. He reminds me so much of Jamie Bell from the film now!
When it came to the Swan Lake scene with Isaac, the two of them were spot on when it came to the mirror image effect, in fact it’s the best I’ve ever seen it done. Isaac plays the older part of Billy extremely well; he’s going to be a hard act to follow - well done to you both.
As for Brad, he was great, and again had a huge applause at the end of the “Expressing Yourself” song.
The other person/people I want to mention is Emma Hudson who played “Debbie”. She seems to be in the show every time I go these days, no matter who is playing “Billy”. I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. The little extras that she adds to this bit are great. I especially enjoyed the little tap number during “Shine”.
I also wanted to comment on the other ballet girls who are superb; they certainly help make the show what it’s become today.
Now as for little Tom who played the role of “small boy”. He was great and his parents should be so proud. The way he shouted out w***er to George at the beginning of the show is hilarious (not that I want to encourage small kids to swear).
He was also brilliant in “Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher” – well done mate.
Everyone else in the show was great but the above is what stood out for me yesterday.
After the show I went to the stage door and got a few signatures and pictures taken of Leon, Ann and Joe. I will see if Felix can put them up on this board for you all to see soon.
