The only thing I could see being inappropriate, depending on your beliefs or rules, would be the amount of profanities spoken throughout the show.
Other than that, I don't see why she - and you - wouldn't love it!

She may get a little restless...it's a darker musical with flashes of big, flash numbers but a lot of it (particularly the second act) is dark and probably too complicated for her.
It all depends on her maturity level, to be honest.

Posted: 1/22/09 at 11:28amthere were college students sitting by me who were confused by a lot of the political aspects of the plot (clearly they hadn't read the background sketch given in the Playbill), so it really does just depend on her maturity level.

I'm a parent of an 8 year old and I think WAY too much of it would go over his head, and he's REALLY bright.
BUT...perhaps if a movie viewing is possible you could gauge her responses, understanding and interest from that. Hmm...might try that with my son.
ALSO....the accents can be hard to follow for younger kids.
